I close my locker, sighing. I should be at home, sleeping. But no, school has start at the asscrack of dawn, and I have to be awake for it. I turn around, running straight into an adult. Next to the woman is a boy around my age with bright pink hair and gages. My eyes go wide as I feel my textbook and pencil case slip out of my grip. They fall to the ground. The woman turns around, apologizing.

"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

"Fuck." I mutter. I pick my stuff up and stand up straight again. "No, it's fine. My fault." I breathe out. My free hand runs through my turquoise hair. I feel people stare.

"While I'm speaking to you, would you by chance know where the junior Chemistry class is?" She asks.

"Mom, I can find it on my own! I don't need-" the boy starts.

"Josh, shush. You'll get lost and be late for class. That'd be a bad way to start at your new school. Anyway, do you know where the class is?"

"Yeah. I'm actually heading that way right now. Unless you want to wander the halls by yourself, then by all means, go ahead." I press my lips together awkwardly.

"Thank you dear. Bye Josh, have a good day!"

"I will not now. Bye Mom." New kid, Josh, gives her a fist bump and she leaves.

"Alright. Chem, follow me." I take off, heading toward my class. People stare at me as I walk by, Josh following behind a few feet.

"Hey, umm, I didn't catch your name." Josh calls after me. I turn around slightly to him lick his lips, looking around nervously.

"Thats because I didn't say it. Keep up, you'll get lost." I walk faster, trying to hide my blush. He's actually kinda cute. We walk in silence for a few moments before I stop in front of my Chemistry door.

"Well, can I know? Your name I mean." He asks, leaning against the wall. We still have a few minutes before Mr. Clappison gets here.

"No." I say, keeping my face straight. He pouts.

"Well why not?"

"I'm joking. It's (Y/N)."

"Well, (Y/N), -
