Today was a spontaneous and really fun day for me.

I woke up around 6 and prepared for my Law test, which didn't go that well to be honest. I feel like I'll have to give a retest. So that's one not-so-good thing.

After college, there was a briefing session for a VIP who is going to come to our college on Monday. We Marketing Finalists even got our practice presentations dates changed because we were just too drained out of energy.

I had lunch with my friend circle, bought a strawberry ice cream and then went to do my WORD work. In the middle, I witnessed Paul and 3 other people give a group interview for the Colgate internship I was offered earlier. And Paul got in! He got his first ever internship and I'm really happy for him!

While working on my usual stuff, Ms. Paula played this interesting game with us. She gave us random names of people in college (students/faculty) and asked us to associate them with a Brand. Like if I were a brand, which brand would I be. I found this exercise really interesting because of the following reasons:

A] You get to judge the fuck out of people and I already do enough of that.

B] I was really good at the game (when I had to assign names to a brand tho) because I have a good judge of character.

C] I got to know what Ms. Paula thought about various students, professors and our Dean.

Ms. Paula thinks I'm Idea. People know about me and they know I'm good but won't come to me. I don't know if I fully agree or if I even fully understand what she means but it's her view so meh.

I've always known Ms. Paula as someone who can quickly judge what a person is like and what motivates that person to do something. She has often used this skill to get work done from us. She is fiercely gaurded about her opinions about people so this was a good way to get that out of her.

Ms. Paula then gave us good life advices on how it is important to decode the people you work with and just life in general. She really is a great mentor who actually takes interest in our lives and helps in making it better. I'm extremely fortunate to have met her and I really don't want her to leave college as much as she wants to.

At around 6:30 PM we decided to leave college when Ms. Paula asked us if we'd like to go to a nearby cafe with her. Initially Paul was unsure but he quickly agreed when Ms. Paula said that this will be her treat to Paul for getting his internship. She is so sweet!

We were there with the intention of getting out in half an hour but that didn't happen, did it?

We spoke A LOT and mostly about introspective stuff. We spoke about our college and how Ms. Paula had planned to leave long back but decided to stay because of us WORD peeps. I was really surprised when she said that she learns more from us than we do from her. I asked her to elaborate and she said:

She learnt how to be creative from Paul.

She learnt how to be dedicated and sincere from me.

She learnt how to be inquisitive from Kristen.

She learnt how to take critisisms from Mr. President.

And she learnt how to give back to society from the junior Vice President.

I felt really happy knowing all this.

She also told us about her mentor in her planetarium and how he made her confident. I guess this is why she able to identify our strengths and help us grow as well.

Ms. Paula once again told me that Mr. DJ speaks highly of me and I'm still wondering why. I can't think of anything in our conversation that would make him say that. Plus, this was just based off of one or two conversations. Maybe he'll change his opinion when he speaks to me one more time. As of now, I'll just be happy with this information.

After having extremely delicious BBQ Cheese Fries, Veg Jalapeno Cheese Nuggets and Grilled Cottage Cheese Steaks in Paprika Sauce with mashed potatoes, we had a exciting visitor: an ex college prof named Ms. Nadine.

Let me give you some back story to my relation with Ms. Nadine.

Last year, our college had taken us for a 3 day trip to a village. While coming back home, Mr. DJ (a faculty from the communication school), who I had a conversation with during the trip, offered to give me a lift back home cause my house came on the way to his. Ms. Nadine (also a faculty from the communication school) was (and still is) really close to Mr. DJ and even she came in the car. That's when I met her and we had a conversation throughout the car journey. After that day, she became one of the very few teachers who knew my name (I kept a really low profile last year) and would hug me whenever we met. Later on, during the 36 electives, I took Ms. Nadine's elective and we had many conversations there as well. A couple of months back, both Mr. DJ and Ms. Nadine left the institution following an unknown argument with the Dean.

Since she is great with haiku, Ms. Nadine made one and asked Paul (who is also very interested and talented in writing) to write something using these three words- broccoli, starlight and ennui. These two people met each other for the first time today yet hit it off quite well. Yay!

Ms. Nadine then gave me tips on how to write (including the '6 Whys' technique) which I'm not really sure when I'm going to use cause I just refuse to push myself into the writing realm (I mean, apart from writing journals- poems and stuff).

We then went to talk about some drunk and hangover stories (of course Ms. Nadine had the most number of stories. Ms. Paula won't reveal much because she is still formally our professor). Ms. Nadine told us how they party all night and still show up for work or take a lecture the next day and that's how things should be. Ms. Nadine's personality defines sass and I love it. She is extremely witty and knows when to say what. Also, very unrelated but I couldn't help but notice how small Ms. Paula looked in front of Ms. Nadine. Lol.

We spoke the rebels aka the communication school students. Ms. Nadine told us how the kids know how to have fun and also get what they want. If they don't like a professor, they can do anything to piss him/her off. She told us about their current unfortunate condition (the school is severely understaffed and all the promises are getting broken). We also spoke about one guy in particular who is also Paul's really good friend.

All in all I had greattt time which got over at frickin' 9:30PM. I don't think I've ever had an impromptu plan post college like this far away from my home and that too with professors! We took a picture for remembrance sake and finally left for home. On the way back, Paul told me about his sleeping problems and how his lack of sleep is making him a bit weird. Damn, the boy should really take care of his sleeping pattern if it's affecting him so much!
