Happy Valentine's Day everybody, regardless of whether you are single or not.
I guess last year I spent my Valentine's with Paloma and had a great time. We did want to meet today but we weren't able to make any concrete plan. That's alright. I'll meet her some other day.
Today, our Dean acknowledged our win at the Market Maker's competition and we got our goodie bags (we had to share one and it wasn't that impressive so meh).
Later Gurtley and I made an impromptu plan to grab lunch at this popular cafe nearby, also the place where I treated my friends last year. We went there and realised that they had changed their system of self order. I was a tad bit dissapointed because it was that place's specialty. Anyways, we got ourselves a table and since it was Valentine's Day today, each table had a rose. It wasn't awkward tho. In fact I offered that rose to Gurtley when she was whining about not having been asked to be a valentine by anyone. Maybe she has a crush on someone? Whatever it is, I am not going to force it out of her. She will tell me if she wants to.
Anyways, we had a feast today! We ate nachos, pizza, a chicken dish and the most delicious pesto pasta I have ever tasted. My stomach was absolutely full by the time we finished the last morsel of our food. I swear I would have burst if I ate anything more for a few hours.
I did go out for dinner with my family at a Chinese restaurant tho.
