Today was a big day at office. We were scheduled for two interviews that I had set up, one via video call and the other, a physical one.
I always reach office 15 mins before 10am but my work only starts at 10. Why? Because my computer system is flawed. It never starts in the first go and the internet is always not connected. And I have to call a person twice for both of these problems. And this has happened every single day since I've got this desk space.
I showed my previous day's work to Boss I and got all my doubts solved by Kristen. Then I made arrangements for the video call which was scheduled for around 11AM. Boss H was supposed to take the interview but he hadn't reached office yet so Boss R decided to take it up. We called but the writer dude didn't pick up. Later I called him and he seemed to have forgotten that he even had an interview scheduled. And frankly the guy seemed really rude. After a couple of back and forth phone calls and some miscommunication, we decided to drop the writer or whoever he was because he started abusing. Thank goodness I hadn't send him my personal number.
Boss I normally gives me 1 set of activities to upload and I do it on that day and show it to her the next day because she leaves at 1:30PM. Today, she gave me 3 sets. I don't know if she wants me to finish them in a day or not cause she always seemed slightly surprised everyday when I told her that I had completed the work. Anyways, I tried to finish those in a day but I could only finish two sets.
Did I mention that people steal your chairs in this office and replace them with faulty ones? Someone has stolen my chair with one that is going to make my back hurt more than it already does.
The second interview for the day was scheduled for 2PM but when I called to confirm, the writer said she'll come by 3. And she came quite late. I thought I'll have to take her interview because no one else is going to want to wait that long but no, people did wait. The writer came and I'm surprised at how casual the interview was. I don't think you can even call it an interview.
So she came and I took her to Boss H. Boss R had told me not to disclose anything about the product to the writers until they sign the NDA. But Boss H basically let everything out in the start itself. And he made it quite evident that we're still very unsure of where all this is headed. He even quoted a higher price than was required. I didn't know if this is what they meant by an interview. I had a very different scenario in mind. Boss R joined us later and even he discarded everything that he had told me. We asked her for her ideas for a couple of other aspects and it felt like she was an intern just like me. Because he told her everything that he had told me. Hello, what did you mean when you said "don't spill too much information"? This writer basically knows everything that I know about the product so how does all of this work?
The interview/meeting went on quite long, with people going in and out and random pauses in the middle, a couple of jokes here and there. Bro, we discussed about other writers in front of her, what was going on?!
The writer didn't seem to mind tho. Atleast she didn't look like it. She agreed to everything we said without any conditions. She even signed the NDA without a second thought. Wow.
So we could say that the meeting was a success. But in the real sense, it only becomes a success if the writer send us what we want according to our guidelines without breaking the NDA clauses.
After the interview, I sat for ideation with Kristen and I swear she is a boon! She helped me clear my head and give me something to start off with. Now I'll have to work really fast because I'm taking too long to complete this project and I have only a little more than a month and a half left with this organisation.
I will do my best.
On my way home and also when I reached home, I finally heard the whole of Love Yourself: Tear album. I have heard quite a lot of BTS songs, whether they are singles or not but other than Wings, I haven't gone through any of their album/EP at a stretch to know how different or similar the feel of the whole albums are to one another.
Every music they produce is bound to be and should be different from one another. I thought they've experimented with different musical arrangements with this one. Atleast that's what I prominently notice. After hearing it for the first time, some worked for me and a couple didn't.
This is my ranking of the songs in this is my ranking:
1] Fake Love
2] Anpanman
3] The Truth Untold
4] Magic Shop
5] Outro: Tear
6] Love Maze
7] Airplane Pt.2
8] So What
9] Paradise
10] Intro: Singularity
11] 134340
