THE STORYBOOK

H1: PART 5 (ENGLISH)

The crazy horse was the county's favorite pub, maybe because it was the only one that opened until dawn.

Most of the young people and some others who were older but who had become regulars over the years, tended to go to that place every night after their work, especially during the weekends, when they could perfectly greet the dawn between its four walls.

Kimmon had been sitting at one of the tables for over half an hour, drinking a beer. His eyes were fixed on the occupants of the bar, especially on a man who, since arriving at the pub, had ordered a glass of "the special" and haven't stopped since then, ordering one after another.

The hunter, Kim told himself as he watched the man's rough manners and how, strangely and despite not talking to anyone, everyone in the room was giving him looks of fear and even grief.

Many of the people who were there, were watching the taciturn man and talking about him. Especially on a table near his, that was very far from the man sitting in the bar, where two young people, already quite drunk, were giving their opinion of the matter without worrying who could hear them.

- "I really do not understand" - said one of them - "He knew better than anyone how obsessed  the mother of the girl was with the search for a good match. I do not know how he could think that he would be accepted by her family .. "

- "We all become stupid when it comes to love. Or if you do not think like that, look at our king for example. He has married that woman when she just wants to use him to get the title of Queen".

- "And now she wants the one for "the most beautiful person in the kingdom". Do not forget that "- said a man who, from the bar counter, turned to the two young people who were talking to each other.

Kimmon was surprised. The hunter really had a very good hearing. No doubt a quality that he had developed throughout the many hunts in which he had participated.

The two youngsters, somewhat emboldened by the alcohol they had just drunk, smiled at the man as they raised their glasses in a gesture of greeting.

The hunter sighted after seeing the state of those two boys. With a disappointed look, he returned to his original position.

- "Well, she is not going to win that one. Not while Krist participates in it "- exclaimed the other young man whom, with a red sweatshirt and dark blue jeans, smiled as he watched as several of the people that were in the pub nodded without even hesitating -" none of the other contestants are at his level".

- "If he really participates ..." - the hunter muttered as he left several coins on the bar and headed towards the door of the pub. Obviously trying to cut the conversation like that.

After the departure of the man, Kim stayed at the pub a couple of hours trying to see if he could get something more out of all these rumors.

When Kimmon finally returned to the palace, almost at dawn, he decided to enter through the servants door as he didn't want anyone to know he was outside the castle.

However, when he was reaching the door he noticed that it was getting opened and that a woman in ragged clothes was coming out through it.

Quickly, the young man used the shadows that were generated by one of the buildings that were near the place, trying not to be seen. But, to his suprise and  after a few seconds, he recognized the Queen who, like every morning, was sneaking out of the palace dressed like a commoner.

"Undoubtedly", the young man said to himself, "something very strange is happening here".

Seeing how the woman was almost running towards one of the streets, Kimmon decided not to enter the palace and follow her, always at a sufficient distance so that the Queen would not notice ... perhaps now they will finally know what is happening here...
