THAT SAME AFTERNOON...
The plane landed on time.
However, and for Krist's parents, the time since the wheels touched the road until the doors opened, seemed to be eternal.
"This will take forever...", thought Mrs. Sangpotirat as she counted the people that were in front of her and that, slowly, were picking up their briefcases and travel bags while commenting on how calm and pleasant the flight had been.
- "Let's hope they do not delay in unloading our luggage" - her husband muttered while taking again the mobile and sending a text message to Singto - "I can not wait to see our Krist".
Mrs. Sangpotirat nodded and, clutching her purse, began to walk, step by step, down the narrow aisle of the plane.
-------------------------------------
Krist woke up with a strong headache. His eyes hurt and it seemed as if a truck had passed over him.
"Where am I?" He asked himself as he looked at the white ceiling of the room.
The last thing he remembered was having been in the cave and how the water had finally covered him.
"I do not understand... How can I be alive?", though the young man as he noticed a person that, sitting near him, was crying while grabbing one of his hands.
"Who...?"
- "I need you Krist ..." - murmured then, in a broken voice, the young man who was at his side and that, to Krist's amazement, was nobody but Singto - "please, you can not leave me".
"What the hell...?!"
Krist did not understand anything.
But nothing at all.
Where was he?
How had they gotten him out of the cave?
But above all ... What was Singto doing crying next to his bed?!
The last time he had seen the boy, he was with Pim ...
So many questions ... but, when Krist opened his mouth to ask what was happening and, above all, to tell him that he was fine and that he would never leave him alone, the door opened and a young woman entered with fast and elegant steps.
"Pim," Krist told himself as he felt his heart break again.
Obviously...
As it could have been otherwise ...
Singto would not be with him unless the girl was too.
After all, they were always together.
"I do not know how I could think that, for once, he had chosen me ... me and not her," he thought as he tried not to cry.
------------------------
Singto looked up at the newcomer as he frowned.
For a few seconds he had thought they were Krist's parents, having just arrived from the airport, but ...
- "Weren't you going to return to the capital today?" - he asked without letting go of Krist's hand - "I thought your plane was leaving at five in the afternoon, and it's already seven."
Pim sighed as she approached him and separated Singto's hand from Krist's.
- "I do not want to leave without you ... this trip was supposed to be for us to know each other better...".
Singto sighed.
- "I've accompanied you to all the events you've wanted to go. I've been your co-star in all those television spots ... what more do you want from me?" - Asked the young man as he got up from his seat and approached Pim.
The young woman smiled and, playing with her hair, gave him a flirtatious look.
- "I want you to be my boyfriend.."
