"Here's the thing Miss Y/ln." my doctor sighed out as he sat down besides me as I laid in the bed. "What's going on with your body is withdrawal. You're craving cocaine and alcohol so you're going to feel extremely nauseous, you're going to feel agitated and uncomfortable."
I nodded as he scratched his beard.
"The only way to treat your addiction is rehad. If we were only a little bit along, we could have set you up for an at home treatment but..you're too far. The only way to carefully monitor your health and to make sure your vitals are okay is to be around a medical team twenty four, seven."
I closed my eyes as I felt my heart become heavy. Never in a million years did I think I would ever need rehab.
"There's no other options?" I questioned slowly, my speech a little slurred.
"I mean," he shrugged as he looked down at his clipboard. "There's a partial rehad where you can stay home weekends and stay in the facility during the week but that's only if you pass the first two weeks of in-facility rehab."
I rolled onto my side as I nodded. "Okay, when do I go?"
"In a couple hours. We're transferring you there as soon as the paperwork is done." He smiled sadly as he heard the agitated sigh leave my lips. "Trust me, you're going to come out of this better than ever."
"I wouldn't have to come out of anything if I never started." I muttered under my breath as I brought the covers up to my neck. "Thanks doc." He rubbed my shoulder before leaving the room and quietly closing the door behind him.

"This looks homey." Vanessa said as we walked into my 'room'. I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked around at the bare grey walls with a single white bed in the corner.
"What is homey about this?" I huffed out as I looked out of the window to see a large garden. "Ok, that's nice." I went to open the windows but they wouldn't. "What the hell?"
"This is a joined facility so there's also a suicide watch, eating disorders, the whole shabam. No window access boo." I turned around and saw a smiling Sophia. "Miss me?"
"What the hell?" I chuckled before pulling her in for a hug. "I thought you were a nurse."
She sighed as she pushed her hair over her shoulders. "I graduated. I work in mental facilities now bitch, oops, don't tell my boss I said that." She said with a scared look as she looked over her shoulders. "Anyways, I'll be your night shift nurse most of the time."
"Dope, you can pay me back my red vines." She smiled tiredly before digging into the pockets in her scrubs and pulling out a snicker.
"This will do for now. If Bethany yells at me for not giving her a snicker, im telling her your room number." I immediately opened it and bit into the sweet snack. "Anywaaays, I have to go. Oh-" she snapped her fingers as she turned back around. "Your sister is kind of an asshole, you know?"
I raised my eyebrows as I shoved my hands into my pocket. "I'm aware." She let out a breathy laugh before rolling her eyes and leaving the room. I sighed heavily and turned to Vanessa who was leaning over against the wall, pressing something against it. "What are you doing?" I asked as I made my way to her.
"I picked up a mini whiteboard from the little store downstairs annnd," she pulled back with a wide smile as she placed the cap back on the mini marker. "Done. You can write little inspirational notes to keep you going." I looked at the board and smiled at what she wrote.
The faster you get better, the faster you get me in your bed.
"You're ridiculously amazing." I rolled my eyes playfully as I wrapped my arms around her shoulders from behind.
