The valet opened my car door and I stepped out with a smile, a breakfast bag and two coffees in my hand. "Morning miss Y/ln." the young kid said with a smile.

"Morning Gabe, here." I went into the bag and pulled out a breakfast burrito. "Take a break, have some breakfast." His eyes widened but I handed him the burrito and kept walking.

"Someone seems to be in a good mood." Lawrence said as he opened the door for me.

I shrugged and gave him a burrito. "Slept like a baby for once." He chuckled and thanked me for the breakfast before closing the door behind me. I saw my receptionist, Winona, sitting at the desk with a soft smile. "Catch." I said and tossed her a sandwich. She quickly jumped for it and smiled widely.

"Thank you." She said in confusion and I simply nodded.

"Don't work too hard, Wi." I said before sliding into the elevator and pressing my level.

When I put the issues of Vanessa and I aside, I was finally able to relax my mind. I had a movie night with my kids, I woke up early and make breakfast for the babysitter to give them when they woke up, and I picked up food for my entire office. Needless to say, I was taking Vanessa's advise. Put yourself first and worry about others later, ironically, she was on the opposing end this time.

I knew that if I focused and stressed on her being out there, the album wouldn't get done and I would fuck up as a CEO. So, I'd deal with her when she got back and for now, it was my time.

I walked out of the elevator, handing out burritos and breakfast sandwiches to anyone that walked past me. But mainly making my way to one persons cubicle. I saw her head down as she stared at the computer silently, a spread sheet up.

"Now, why do I have to find out from twitter that it's your birthday?" She jumped slightly and looked over her shoulder with a smile.

"Because I knew you'd see it." She laughed out before spinning around. "You're here like two hours earlier than usual." I shrugged and leaned against her desk. "And no bags.. good sleep?"

"Great sleep." I pulled out a burrito and an Arizona iced tea before sitting it at her desk. "You have any plans tonight to celebrate?"

"I just figured I'd be in here." She said with a shrug. "And I only have like one friend, he works graveyard."

I rolled my eyes and stood back up. "Stay in here? For your birthday? Fuck that. Vivian's going bowling with some friends and her new mans. You gotta come."

"Um no." She said and spun back around.

I frowned and moved to the front of the cubicle so I could face her. "Why not?" I asked with a pout.

She looked up at me for a second and sighed as she looked back down. "I've never been bowling and I'm not about to embarrass myself in front of a bunch of famous people."

"Come on." I chuckled and drummed my fingers on her walls. "It'll be fun, plus I'm not good."

"Really?" She hummed and I nodded. "Are you sure I won't impose?"

"Of course not, you're with me." I looked up when someone called me, letting me know I was due for my meeting. "I gotta go but tonight, six o'clock. I'll pick you up in an Uber."

"Okay." She whispered uncertainly and I winked before grabbing my coffee and walking away from her cubicle. "Uh Y/n?" I stopped and turned back around. "Do I need to dress rich or-"

I simply snorted and shook my head. "No, be yourself." She tucked a stray hair behind her ear and nodded.
