^ outfit for the day

-

Ever since that night two days ago, I could tell Alexa was a bit off. She was less talkative and more 'get the day done'. I didn't like it. I wanted that happy, witty, fangirl Alexa back. And I knew the perfect way to get that done.

I woke up earlier than usual since I knew we'd have to leave early. I only wish it was our off day so we could spend the entire day there but that just gave me a reason to take her again. Input that thinking man meme 'cause that's how I felt.

I stretched my back as I left the restroom after emptying my bladder and went back to my bunk where Rosie was sleeping peacefully. "Hey babe," I whispered as I combed my fingers through her hair. "Wake up, Princess."

She huffed quietly and tucked her head under the pillow. "No mommy, sleep."

I hummed and leaned my hand on her back. "You wanna sleep?" She nodded with her eyes closed. "Okay.. I guess I'll have to call Mickey and let him know we're not coming." I started to turn around with a smirk as I heard her shuffle up quickly. "He'll be very disappointed but you have to sleep so.."

"No mommy," I turned around and saw her sitting on the edge of the bunk with her hands up, her feet dangling. "I don't wanna sleep."

"Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to be tired, babe." She quickly shook her head and reached for me. "Okay," I picked her up and pressed a kiss to her cheek. "We gotta take a shower then you can put on your outfit, okay?" She nodded and dropped her head on my shoulder. "You want a bath or shower with me?"

"With you." She mumbled.

"It's so I can hold you huh?" I teased, smiling when she cutely tucked her head into my neck. "Little brat." I sat her on the toilet seat and turned the water to lukewarm before helping her out of her onesie, then taking off my own pajamas. I slid my hand under the water to make sure it was good before I lifted her up and walked into the shower. "How do you wanna wear your hair today?" I asked as I grabbed the shampoo.

"In a fishy braid?" I hummed and nodded. "Mommy?" I nodded as I squeezed some shampoo into my hand. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be okay?" I said, running my fingers through her hair, doing the best I could with one hand.

"I want you to smile." I stopped my movements and looked down at her as she stared back up at me. "When we in Ice, you smile a lot."

A frown raised to my lips at the fact that my own three year old could tell something was different from the time we've spend in Iceland. Jesus. "I know." I mumbled before starting to wash her hair again. "Sometimes mommies have bad days but now that you told me, I'm going to smile all the time now."

"Mommy have a bad day today?" She mumbled.

"Nope. Today will be the best day, you know why?" I trailed off with a smirk before kissing over her face rapidly. "Because we're going to the happiest place on earth!" She giggled sporadically and held onto my neck. "Are you excited?"
