"Hey you guys, it's Alexa and I'm- Y/n stop." She groaned out when I started to kiss her shoulder. "I'm trying to do the video."
"Okay okay, I'll stop." I said and straightened myself up. I looked at the camera and saw my reflection in the little screen.
"Hey guys, it's Alexa and for my first video I'll be singing Ivy by.." I stuck out my tongue and raised my eyebrows when I saw how long it was. Huh, now I know why she screa- "What are you doing?" She laughed out and covered my mouth. "Can you not do an intro for five seconds?"
"Well you take forever. Yo it's Alexa's channel, she'll be singing Ivy by Frank ocean. Boom." I looked down at my guitar and played the first chord.
"Noooo. Just shut up and let me do it." I sarcastically raised my hands before turning my hat back frontwards, my head lowering. "Hi guys, I'm Alexa and I'll be covering Ivy by Frank Ocean." I saw her look over at me so I counted down from three before playing the chords.
I saw her head sway before she stated to sing. "I thought that I was dreaming when you said you love me. The start of nothing. I had no chance to prepare, I couldn't see you coming."
I nodded to myself as her voice softly rang throughout the hotel room we were staying in. If I had my way, I'd have her signed to my label and pushing out an album by now. But no, she was an independent type.
She didn't want to be 'brought out' or 'put on', she wanted to work her way up her own way. And I respected that.
"If I could see through walls, I could see you're faking. If you could see my thoughts you would see our faces." I looked up at her for a moment with a soft smile as she brought her voice to a higher pitch almost too perfectly. "Safe in my rental like an armored truck back then. We didn't give a.. back then, I ain't a kid no more."
I hummed softly to myself before lowering my head and steadily playing along to the chords until the end. And lowkey, I didn't want it to end. I wish Rosie and I could switch roles so she could sing me to sleep instead.
"I could dream all night, dream all night. I could drive all night, drive all night. Dreaming, dream on.." I played the last chord before raising my head up with a wide smile.
"Damn baby!" I exclaimed and she blushed deeply, covering her face. I gave her cheek a fat kiss before standing up and walking out of the frame to put my guitar up. "Gonna get a bitch pregnant with that voice."
"Y/nn, no cursing." She whined out before leaning forward to turn off the camera. "That's more editing."
"So? I'll get you an editor." I said with a shrug as I placed my guitar into the case.
"No, I'm doing it myself." I looked over my shoulder at her as she crisscrossed her legs on the bed, uploading the footage from the flash drive.
"Mm okay Alexa." I looked down at my watch and sighed softly. "I have to go."
"Time to take them back?" She asked sadly with a frown and I nodded. "Okay.. editing can wait." I reached my hand out and she grabbed it before walking with me to the main hotel room.
"Okay guys," I said and squinted my eyes when I saw the twins and Rosie gone, but I could hear the giggles. "Where could they possibly be?" I hummed out before seeing a flash of blonde in the kitchen. I looked at Alexa with a smirk before walking in and seeing Rosie sitting on top of the counter, eating an apple sauce. "Hi Rose."
"Hi mommy, hi Alex." She mumbled but her eyes kept going to the cabinet below her. "They not here."
"Hm? I didn't ask babe." Her eyes widened and she quickly shoved the spoon into her mouth. "Ahh, gotcha." I swung the doors open and furrowed my eyebrows when I saw it empty. "Huh?"
