I shivered as I carried the bag up the steps, my movements haste as I fumbled for my keys.

I slid the key into the hole, only for the door to swing open, nearly making me fall back down the stairs in shock.

"Velkominn aftur!" He shouted and I huffed, pushing passed him. "Oh someone's grouchy."

"Yes, you tool, I am. That's the third time this week, Johaan. If I get a heart attack, it's your fault." He still smiled cheekily before taking the bag from my hands. I could never be mad at this damn kid. I pushed his head back and walked to the kitchen. "How was school?"

"Boring and useless as usual." I gave him a look and he raised his hands. "But I didn't get detention today. Aren't you proud?"

"Very." I mumbled with a chuckle, taking the food out of the bags. "So, we gotta talk." He sighed and sat at the table. "No, come on, it has to be done."

"I don't understand why you have to go back. You've been doing fine here." He whined.

I stared at him for a moment before grabbing a chair and sitting on it backwards. "Jo, my kids are there. It's been too long, I have to go see them." He smiled sympathetically before nodding. "But don't worry, Yovanna will be here."

"Ah cool, she's nicer than you." I grabbed a patch of his curly hair and tugged it, making him scream. "You see what I mean?!"

Laughing, I stood up and pushed the chair back in. "You love me. So, I picked up fish from the market and some potatoes-"

"Potatoes?" He questioned quickly.

I nodded with a smirk, knowing his love for potatoes was almost, if not stronger, than my love for red vines. Hm, red vines, reminded me of.. I stopped myself in the mist of that thought, not allowing myself to remember.

"Yes, go scrape them." He nodded and jumped up, rushing to the counter.

As he did that, I pulled out my wallet and grabbed the single picture with two babies. My babies. But.. they wouldn't exactly be babies anymore. I ran my finger over Stella's face. Her smile as wide as ever as she swung on the swing set I had built in the backyard for them. And Ezra, my baby boy. He was making his usual growling face with his hands up as claws. I wondered if he still had his fascination with dinosaurs.

"Thinking again?" Another voice asked. I nodded softly as she set down her backpack, approaching me with a smile. "You'll be back with them in no time."

I rested my hand on the back of her thigh as she ran her fingers through my hair, lightly scraping my scalp just how I liked. "I know. I can't wait." I looked up at her before smiling. "You're glowing."

She blushed and went to walk away but I pulled her back. "Stooop." I cocked my eyebrow and kept staring at her until she broke, and she did. "Okayy. Richard and I might've.. well, we kinda ended up in his back seat-"

"Gross! I'm trying to peel potatoes here." I pulled back and eyed Johann, watching him smirk.

"Haltu kjafti." His eyes widened and I nodded with a proud smile.

"Wow, the American just told me to shut up in my language. I don't believe it." He said with a sarcastic clap. "I feel proud."

"Yeah yeah. No more cursing, Y/ln." Yovanna lightly smacked my cheek and in return I smacked her ass, making her jump with a yelp.

"So gay." Johann whispered out as he washed the potatoes.

I rolled my eyes and waved him off, looking back at Yovanna. "How are your classes going?" I asked as I grabbed my malt off of the table.

"Mm, ooh, we have this field trip actually, it's in Miami-"

"Oh shoot, your hometown?" She nodded excitedly. "You have to go."

"I would but," she chewed on her bottom lip, her head shaking. "It's during the same time as you go back." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Someone has to watch over the kids, remember?"

"Oh shit." I sighed out. "I'm sorry, Vanna. I wish-"

"Um okay." Johann suddenly sat on the table but one glare from me made him jump back up. "Sorry. Anyways Y/n, just take me with you."

"What?" Yovanna and I both spluttered.

He toyed nervously with the towel in his hand as he cleared his throat. "I can go with Y/n to the states, Vanna gets to go back home for the field trip. It's a win win."

"And what about school? I may be lenient but you have to do your studies." I spoke up but he smirked.

"Online classes are a thing. I can just do them while we're out there." I looked away slightly and he stood in front of me before crouching into my view. "Come on. Big sis and little bro, you seeing the little ones, me seeing California hunnies." I cocked an eyebrow and he raised his hands. "Also gaining knowledge about the world around me. You always say the best way to learn is to throw yourself into new environments."

"That is true, babes." Yovanna added.

I looked back at Johann as he pouted, making his brown eyes bigger than they were. "Pwease take me to experience something other than green and ocean."

"Jesus." I rubbed down my face before nodding. "Yeah, okay fine." He jumped up and cheered, shaking his hips back and forth. "But you will do school, there's no slacking, Johann."

"You got my word." He grabbed my face and planted a fat kiss on my forehead before running out of the kitchen and to his room. "I'm going to see some American hunnies!" He screamed.

"Oh boy, what did I get myself into?" I breathed out.

Yovanna chuckled before patting my cheek. "It'll be fun." I glanced at her as she stood up and walked away. "Fun for him, terrible for you."

Sighing, I went to stand up when I felt small hands cover my eyes. "Who is, mommy?"

I smiled lightly before chuckling. "Well, you called me mommy so I can only assume it's my babygirl." I grabbed under her shoulders from behind me before whisking her up and over my head, my heart fluttering at her giggles. "Did you have a good nap, baby?"

She nodded widely before cuddling into my chest. "I had good dream." I ran my fingers through her hair and pecked her forehead. "We play on hill, we roll."

I looked down at her slightly as she raised her head, staring back at me with her big blue eyes. "Was it fun mamas?" She nodded quickly with a toothy smile. "Well.. we won't be playing on hills for a while because we're going to see Stella and Ezra, okay?"

"Broder?" I nodded. "Annd sissy?" I nodded again and she smiled, bounding in my lap as her blonde hair swayed crazily with her head nods. "Okay!"

I pulled her back into my chest as I playfully nipped at her ears and cheeks, loving the giggles that spilled from her mouth. Then I stopped and pulled back, connecting our eyes again. "Princess?" She hummed. "As long as I am alive, what?"

She tapped her chin playfully before piping up. "You always care me?"

I smiled and nodded. "Close enough, baby. You won't ever have to worry a day in your life with me. I'll always care for you, and be here. Will you remember that for me?"

"I try." She mumbled and dropped her head on my chest again, her right hand raising up and wrapping around my chain, as always. "I love chu mommy."

I sighed in content, hugging her small frame closer to me, pressing my lips to her head as I muttered, "I love you too, Rosie. Always.
