I rubbed my hands on my pants out of nervousness as I stood outside of the Starbucks on sunset. I could see Vanessa sitting at a table in the corner, her eyes on a computer.

Finally gathering the courage, I pulled the door open and walked in slowly, almost feeling all eyes on me. I couldn't tell if it was in my head or really happening. Then, her eyes met mine.

For a split second I could've sworn I saw her look at me with the same look she did all those years ago. Loving, adoring, infatuated. Then, they were back cold before I could blink again.

"Surprised you made it on time." She mumbled, bringing the cup of coffee to her lips. "You're usually late for everything."

I pulled the chair out and sat down with a timid smile. "Years of practice."

She slowly sat the cup down and cocked an eyebrow. "How many years exactly, three?" My eyes adverted down at what she was getting at. "Okay listen, I don't want to argue with you. You were still once my wife and the mother of my children." I raised my eyes back up as she sighed. "Though I still want to strangle you, Stella won't stop talking about you."

"Really?" I asked with a smile.

Her eyes rolled. "Yes. She suddenly wants to go to the park all the time now which makes me think she 'coincidentally' saw you."

"Um, well-"

"I already know. Vivian can't keep a secret." She suddenly spun her computer around and I saw she was on google docs. "A contract. Stella misses you and I can't stand to see her so heartbroken. So I drafted up an agreement between us. You can visit them on weekends within my jurisdiction. You agree?"

I nodded quickly. "Y-Yes, Of course. It's better than nothing." She nodded and turned the computer around. "Only on weekends though-" One glare had me raising my hands. "You know what? It's perfect actually."

"Good." She closed the computer and stood up. "I'll get them printed and ready to sign."

"Wait," I piped up when she started to walk away. When she turned back around, the computer under her arm, I found myself speaking quickly. "You don't want to talk a bit.. get a coffee?" She raised the cup slightly and shook it. "Well, you usually like a ham sandwich for breakfast. Let me buy you one."

She looked away before huffing. "I don't eat meat anymore, goodbye Y/n."

She doesn't what?? I sat stunned as she walked away. So.. Vanessa now does kickboxing and doesn't eat what she once praised? What on earth..

"Y/n!" I popped my head up when a boy jogged over, his phone up. "Oh my God, I love you so much. Can we get a picture?"

"Sure." I smiled when suddenly four more came.. then four more.. then four more. "Um.." I felt myself start to feel claustrophobic with all the sudden commotion. How were there this many people in here?

I heard the door open and looked up to see more teens rushing in. I tried to stand up but they were all there, crowding, recording, yelling. I, not being use to it because of the three years of practical solitude, felt my breathing start to pick up. "G-guys please stop yelling. I-I'll take your pictures just.." I gulped suddenly and closed my eyes, trying to regain my slow breathes.

"Rosie is so cute!"

"Will you get back with Vanessa please!?"

"One picture y/nn!"

I blinked rapidly when things started to grow blurry, my throat feeling as if it was getting smaller by the second. I started to feel numb as if I was here but floating out of my skin. Then I heard it.
