My walls were starting to crumble, and fast. As much as I wanted to pull away, it felt like a fucking magnet charge between us.

Then I saw it.

Maybe this is what Vanessa saw, or felt, but I saw it. Brown eyes, honey drip, teasing smirk. I saw Steph. For a second did I feel okay continuing to kiss but then I tasted the red wine on her lips and I knew for a fact Steph didn't touch a drink tonight.

So I pulled away. The brown was replaced with green and I felt myself crawling off of her body.

"You.." Vanessa looked confused and distraught. "You're really done." She breathed out.

I pulled the back of my hoodie down and reopened the bedroom door. "I'm not going to make you leave because it's late but the guest bedroom is done the hall. You know where it is."

Standing up slowly, she grabbed her shoes and purse and started to the door before quickly turning around to face me again. "Do you wanna know why I started this whole thing with August?"

"Not really." I sighed out but I'm guessing it was a rhetorical question.

"It was when you started to withdraw. He texted me about being apart of my brand and we started talking. About you." It seemed like she was trying to invoke some emotion out of me but I learned from the best to keep a stone cold face. "And when I was in LA he let me cry, he hugged me and he cared."

"I'm guessing you guys had sex after that?" I questioned sarcastically and her averting eyes was a sure answer for me. "So, you spill your emotions, he pretends to care, and then he gets laid. I remember doing the same thing on tour. That's the oldest trick in the book sweetheart."

She scowled at me with her head shaking. "You know what, fine. You want a divorce?" She dug into her purse, pulling out some folded sheets of papers. I watched her grab a pen from the nightstand and sign the three pages. "Here," she threw the papers at my chest. "Just remember that you wouldn't be anything if I wasn't there."

I quickly grabbed her arm and and pulled her back when she started out of the room. My blood was boiling again. "Vanessa Anela listen closely. Don't ever think I needed you for shit. I'd be perfectly fine without you."

"Bullshit." She hissed, pulling her arm out of my grasp. "You would either be strung out, in jail, or dead. And you can't deny that."

I clenched my jaw and crossed my hands behind my back, leaning forward sarcastically. "And you would be some Instagram hoe without me, your point?" She swung her hand up but I quickly grabbed it, shaking my head. "Don't even try it, Moe."

"You're a fucking asshole!" I watched her with a smirk as she jabbed her finger into my chest. "I wish I never married you."

"You're the one who cheated, what the fuck are you talking about?" I huffed, ignoring the slight sting in my core.

Her eyes narrowed. "Yeah, because you gave up on me! You got distant-"

"That's no fucking reason to cheat, Vanessa! You talk to me, you let me know what you're feeling so we can handle it together." I breathed out heavily before leaning down to pick up the papers. "You don't get disloyal."

"And what about Steph?" I folded the papers up, slowly standing back upright. "That wasn't disloyal?"

I nodded softly. "Yeah I'll admit, I fucked up. Difference is I told you. It ate at me and I couldn't stand the thought of it. You slept with him, repeatedly, and hid it. Now tell me what's worse?"

"Cheating is cheating."

"You had an affair." I cut in. "You were out in LA with him, you made his name Kendall in your phone, and then you went to Milan with him. Did you go back to him after I told you to?" She didn't respond. "And you claim you want to fix things?"
