Flashback 300 years ago

Hundreds of townsfolk gathered outside of your shared house with your lover Anti who looked on edge grabbing his favourite dagger tightly in his left hand. Peeking through the small gap of the curtains you could see every man and woman in the village their arms raised with torches and pitchforks so many voices screaming in outrage as they tried to ram the front door down while they chanted the same thing over and over again.

"We need to get going before they break in" You pointed out grabbing your Soulmate free hand and dragging him with you. Entering the bedroom you closed the door and locked it shoving a table in front of it to buy sometime, you looked out the window your bedroom faced the back garden where you couldn't see any torches or figures standing there signing in relief you quietly open the window.

"Anti you need to jump out of the window and run" you spoke softly holding his face in your hands kissing him passionately.

"What about you (y/n)?" Anti-asked green tears slipped from his eyes. Everybody knew him as a cold-hearted badass individual but you knew that was a mask yes he is a demon a very sensitive, emotional cuddly one but he doesn't deserve this treatment to be classified as a monster he didn't do anything and yet people want him dead because he's a demon.

"And I'm willing to die for you my love if it means you live" you won't let Anti die not now, the demon shook his head not liking the idea that you be sacrificing yourself to that he will live another day he opened his mouth to interject but you silenced him by placing a finger on his lips.

A beautiful inked name sketched there 'Anti' glowing between the colours gold and yellow shining brightly like the stars above. "Let's see about the rest of the myth is true then our gold soulmarks signifies our love IS forever and I will reincarnate and be will you again but I won't remember you but let's test that out" a sudden crash could be heard from downstairs then multiple of footsteps stamping around voices becoming louder and louder. Your eyes widen in horror and your heart beats wildly as you start to push Anti towards the window you didn't want to leave Anti but you had no choice in the matter.

"Just promise me one thing Anti" You spoke quietly hands shaking violently banging could be heard on the opposite of the door as people tried to knock it down.

"Anything treasure" your boyfriend had his legs dangling of the window ledge looking back at you hope danced in his eyes maybe you changed your mind and come with him.

"Don't lose yourself, don't let the unbearable loneliness their vicious words change you, prove them wrong that you are NOT a monster be better than them" Your voice cracked multiple times you are scared more like terrified but you would do anything for Anti.

"Now go Anti and remember I love you"

"I love you too (y/n)" with that Anti jumped down just in time as the door flew off its hinges landing on the floor. Many people crowed in the bedroom looking for the demon but you stood there with a brave face as you smiled sweetly at them while they glared angrily at you.

"He's gone and you will never find him you assholes. YOU all will pay for what you have done today, mark my word love will prevail and you will BURN in hell" You laughed crazily before someone stabbed you with their pitchfork right in your abdomen. The sudden action made you scream in agony the noise even reached Anti who quietly weep as he covered his ears running into the night.
