The rains keeps pouring down but we really don't care. Hero's tongue plays with mine and my hands ruffle through his short hair. I can taste the caramel of the popcorn he had earlier. He holds me in a tight grip as if he doesn't want to let me go ever again. I wish we could stay here and now forever.

"Maybe we should go back before we get pneumonia," I say with my lips against his.

"Good idea," he gives me a boyish grin. He takes my hand in his while we walk back and it feels so natural to walk like this. We walk in silence for a while, both lost in our own thoughts.

"You make me so happy," he says with a soft voice and a thick accent. "I'm glad you finally gave in."

"So am I but I still have some trust issues so it might not be easy," I warn him.

"What exactly happened?"

"Let's not worry about that now," I smile while we enter the elevator. "There's so many others things we can do."

"I like the way you think," he smiles too. "Let's go to your room," he whispers in my ear which causes me to shiver. "I want to be in your bed."

Killian and Megan exit their flat at that exact moment.

"Well well well.. what do we have here?" she says with an evil smile. "Found someone else to play with while you're in the UK, Hero? Good choice though, she's leaving anyway." Her voice sounds like venom. I know she's just jealous but I sense there's something else going on.

"Shut up Megan, no need to be such a bitch."

"She knows this is just temporary right?"

"Shut it Megan." Killian snaps. I'm surprised. Why would he talk to her like that?

"Am I missing something?"

"Megan is just being a jealous bitch," Hero declares and opens my door with my key card. I don't follow immediately because I notice that Killian won't look at me directly. Something is definitely off here.

"Kil? Can I borrow you for a second?" I ask. I can tell he's not keen on following me inside my flat but he does it anyway. I'm kind of torn now. I also want to know what Hero and Megan will talk about but I concentrate on Killian first.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong! I'm happy to see you so happy, you're glowing." He gives me a smile but it's fake. It doesn't reach his eyes.

"Killian. I know you well enough to know something is wrong."

"Nothing is wrong. I just didn't realize that it was getting this serious."

"Me neither," I admit. "I tried to fight it for a while but I'm falling for him... there's nothing I can do about it. We both tried to be friends but the connection is too strong."

"I thought you didn't want to date?"

"I know."

"What changed?"

"Hero changed me... I've truly never felt this way before even if I thought in the past that I did... I know now I didn't."

He opens his mouth as if to say something but closes it again.

"Just be careful, okay?" He gives me a hug. It's an odd comment but it's nice that he cares about me so much. I hold him a little longer.

"I will."

When I enter my room, Hero is on my bed.

"So, what did you want to talk about?"

"You're so nosy! I won't tell you everything I talk about with my friends," I tease him.

"Did he say anything?"

"About what?"

"About us.. about me?"

"No... what is up with you guys! You're all acting so strange!"

"Nothing.. what did Killian say? Why is he acting strange?"

"I swear he didn't say anything. I could tell something was wrong so I wanted to talk to him."

"So what was wrong?"

"What's with all the questions?"

"Nothing.. I just want to know if he's okay."

"He's fine. He just said he didn't realize we were this serious and he just told me to be careful."

"What? Why?!" Hero jumps up.

"Just because he's my friend and he doesn't want to see me hurt. Calm down." I wrap my hands around him and go sit on his lap. "He cares about me."

"Maybe he cares too much. He's probably just jealous," Hero says before gently biting in my lower lip.
