"Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" The little brunette curly headed toddler chanted over and over again.
"It's coming Logan, just be patient," Chris told his son, leaning over to press a kiss to the top of his head.
Logan was easily redirected as Chris handed him the crayons and paper the waitress had given and he started scribbling furiously, making Chris laugh. Once Chris knew he was happy and entertained, he looked across the table, smiling widely at what he saw.
They had just come from Jack's baseball practice and the little boy was still dressed in his red baseball hat, a red tee shirt with the team's logo on it, which Chris also was wearing an adult size of since he was the coach, but Jack's shirt was tucked neatly into his baseball pants. Seeing him in his little uniform was adorable, but that wasn't what got Chris. It was seeing their little son all snuggled up to Nina.
The pair sat on the other side of the booth, Nina's arm draped around Jack and him cuddling against her side. He carefully colored on the paper he was provided with and Nina was filling in the background with another crayon since Jack had asked her too.
"These clouds look like cotton candy," He heard Nina say while looking down at their son.
Jack's blue eyes squinted up as he laughed and looked at his mother and she told him, "Now I really want to eat cotton candy!" Which only made Jack giggle even more before he got back to coloring.
Nina finished up coloring the background and then sat back in her seat, resting a hand on her pregnant stomach that was just about six months along. With both of the kids occupied with coloring, Nina finally let her eyes wander over to her husband who she found was already watching her.
His thick forearms were crossed and resting on the table and because of the short sleeves baseball jersey, she could see the muscles and his soft hair that only made him look so manly. His tee shirt was stretched tight across his broad chest and shoulders and as her eyes traveled up, she saw him scratch at his dark stubble. A closed mouth smile was on his face and his blue eyes had that mischievous glint in them that she loved so much. She just wanted to run her hands through his short dark hair and give it a good tug, but she tried to calm down her hormones for the moment.
"What are you looking at?" Her smooth as silk voice asked him.
"You," Was his simple response.
She felt her cheeks grow red and she tucked a piece of her short hair behind her ears while asking him, "How do you do that?"
"Do what?" Chris sat up on his side of the booth and leaned his broad back against the wood.
"Look at me like you haven't seen me every day for the past six years," She told him.
Chris reached across the table, taking her slender hand in his and lifted it up to gently kiss her knuckles, telling her, "It's easy when I love you the way that I do."
Instantly tears were in Nina's eyes and she lifted Chris' hand up and placed it on her cheek, snuggling into it before she pressed a kiss in the palm of his hand, telling him, "I adore you Christopher Evans."
"I adore you Nina Evans," He smiled at her but then leaned in so he could quietly say, "But you've really got to stop looking at me with that cute smile of yours."
"What?" She was confused.
"I'm serious, that sweet smile of yours coupled with the way you look and I'm going to have to hold a menu over my lap when we walk out of here," Chris quietly informed her that he was getting turned on. "I kept stealing glances at you in the stands during baseball practice and seeing my gorgeous pregnant wife, ugh, you just look so...."
