TART The Sequel [TART 3]

Pneumonia

I can't remember if I wrote about this before or not, but I'm just gonna write about it anyway XD

I think I was 3 or 4 years old and I can't remember this, but my parents told me that we were at a store and I started crying like crazy and making a big scene lol

They thought that I was just fussing and wanted to be carried or something, so they were strict with me and upset at me

They found out later that I had pneumonia; it wasn't that I didn't want to walk, I just couldn't freaking breathe lmao

Both my lungs were affected XD I think I had walking pneumonia, which I think is a milder version of pneumonia that lasts longer

I remember I had to breathe out of this machine for probably a few weeks, and I had to distract myself with my My Littlest Pet Shops and bring them to daycare because I hated that machine XD

So yeah, my parents felt so guilty afterwards lmao

I was a little nervous to go to the nursing home today because I was gonna be with a different nurse, but she was super sweet so it was ok :D

I was with her while she was getting one of the residents washed up and dressed, and the nurse mentioned something about how I was a student who was gonna be following her for a few days, then she said "her name is Kaitlin, isn't that such a pretty name?"

And the older lady said, "yes, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" :'>>>

I don't really know how to take compliments so I sort of just laughed nervously and looked away and I think I said thank you, but I can't help but think that people just compliment my name out of pity ;-;

I feel a little mean for saying that lol, but it's true :') Most of you live in English-speaking countries where my name isn't exactly out of place, but "Kaitlin" is unheard of over here

I FEEL LIKE I COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS A LOT, I'M SORRY >_< There is one thing I actually like about my name though, and that's that I can have so many different nicknames, but that doesn't really work over here since there are no Norwegian nicknames for Kaitlin :') So it's pretty much just my dad and my American grandparents that I never talk to who call me Kate irl >_<

Aaanywho, I actually enjoyed my internship :D I think the most interesting part was seeing how the nurses communicate with the residents, especially since the residents are so different and are capable of different things

Some of them are talkative and can move around quite a bit on their own, while some could barely move and one was even blind and nearly deaf

So I thought that was pretty interesting ^^

Today's my dad's birthday so my mom and I baked soft pretzels and pumpkin pie for him before he got home :D

It's Timon from the nursing home >w< I swear he looks so much bigger in real life lmao

Ok last thing: I was watching the original "Beauty and the Beast" movie because I've seen the live action a million times and I haven't seen the original movie in forever, and Misty was sleeping in my blanket throughout the entire movie :'>

So precious TwT It kinda sucked when I got cold though lol, I just sat there and froze because I didn't want to wake my baby >w<

Back to the movie, I missed "Evermore" so much!! T_T That was a song they added in the live action, and at the scene in the original movie where "Evermore" would've been, I was longing for it so much XD

One thing the live action definitely did right, was the music

Like, they took everything good about the original songs, and made them EVEN BETTER

Am I the only one who seriously can't pick a favorite Beauty and the Beast song?? I get so stressed thinking about it because I love "Be Our Guest", "Belle", "Gaston" and "Evermore" equally!! TwT

I think the "Belle" reprise might have to be my favorite, but it hurts to choose just one >_<
