Anime x Reader One-Shots.

Escanor X Reader

Requested by Neverletgoandlive! Thank you for your request.  However, I don't know much about Escanor as a character, so apologies if somethings are wrong or ooc

Y/n hummed quietly as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. At the moment she was entranced in a book as she sipped on her drink.  She had stumbled upon  a new bar that had just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Guess it was new or something. 

On the other hand, a certain bartender seemed to pay quite a bit of interest in the new customer. He would look at the young lady from afar and just simply admire her. 

"Yo Escanor, wanna quit with the staring and actually talk to the girl?" Ban asked his friend, raising an eyebrow at the other. 

"W-what? No I couldn't do that! She looks fine on her own." Escanor rambled, waving his hands in front of his face as. 

Ban sighed and shook his head. Sometimes it was so weird adjusting to Escanor's shy and complacent personality verses his egotistical and hardcore one in his other form. "Go offer her a fresh drink or something. But you look like a creep just standing here and looking at her."

"B-but.."

"No buts! Now just go!" Ban exclaimed, taking a plate of drinks away from him and shoving him forwards. 

"If I must." Escanor mumbled, taking a deep breath in before making his way over to the girl sitting and reading. 

*Y/n POV*

I had just flipped to the next page of my book when I reached over to grab my drink and take a sip of it, however, I noticed it was empty. Part of me wanted to get up and order a new one, but a bigger part of me was way too lazy to do that. 

"U-umm hi, hello there. I see you're low on your drink, care for a new one?" 

I looked up to see a man, who I think I recognize as the bar tender. He was small. Didn't seem like he had much muscle on him and came off as shy. But he seemed sweet, and kinda attractive. In a cute way that is. 

"Oh, thank you sir. That's very kind of you." I said, offering him a small smile as I handed him my cup. 

"Oh no please! There's no need for any gratitude, this is my job after all." The man said, taking my glass from my hand.

"What's your name by the way?" 

"Me? My name is Escanor. And you?"

"My name is Y/n, nice to meet you Escanor." I said as I watched him walk away to refill my cup. 

Escanor went back to the bar and filled my cup with (drink of choice), and walked back over to me. As the glass was set down on the table, I took a sip of it. "Mhm, tastes great. Thank you Escanor."

"My pleasure Y/n. However, there is one more thing I would like to do for you..." Escanor said, rubbing the back of his neck shyly. 

I perked my head up to look at him, placing my book fully down on the table to give him my attention. 

"Well, in all honesty I have been watching you for a little while now..."

Creepy. 

"...and I was wondering if you wanted to know if you would let me take you on a date sometime? If that's okay with you of course!"

My eyes widened a bit as a I became a bit flustered. I mean, I hardly know this guy and he wants to go out on a date with me? I mean, yeah he's cute and all but still. On the other hand, how am I ever supposed to get into a relationship with anyone if I just reject them. One date couldn't hurt right?

"Um, sure, why not?" I said and smiled. 

Escanor seemed surprised by my acceptance of his offer, but happy nonetheless. "R-really? Okay, well would you like to meet me here tonight after hours?" 

"Yes, that sounds nice. Anything in particular I should wear?" I asked him.

"Oh, no not really. As long as you show up, that's enough for me." He said with a small chuckle. 

I laughed along with him, biting my lip slightly. "Well then I hope we have a good time tonight." I told him, finishing up my drink as a grabbed my book. 

"Of course we will. I guess I will see you here in a couple hours then." 

I stood up and smiled at my future date, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "See you then." I hummed, leaving the bar with a new sense of happiness and hope for a new relationship.
