Part 21

"You've got a cute house." Arjun said as he followed Khushi inside, looking around the tiny house she lived in with her friends.

"I'm sure it's not as big as something you would be living in, but its home." She smiled as they both settled down on the couch and just then Avanti and Kiara ran towards the hall, Kiara was running in front while Avanti ran behind her with a pillow that she threw on Kiara but it missed her and hit Arjun.

"Girls!" Khushi looked at them angrily.

"Shit! I am so sorry, we dint know there was a guest." Avanti said as she rushed towards Arjun and took the pillow from him.

"I am so sorry." She apologized to him.

"It's okay." Arjun smiled not taking his eyes off her, Avanti turned to look at Kiara who had already settled down on the sofa.

"You better return my makeup bag and go buy yours." Avanti said to Kiara.

"I thought we were best friends and we were supposed to share everything." Kiara pouted.

"Okay, I'm off to make coffee, Arjun what kind of coffee would you like?" Khushi asked Arjun who was still staring at Avanti, obviously she noticed it, he was mesmerized by her.

"Black, with no sugar please."

"You are just like Arnav, no wonder you are best friends." Khushi smiled as she headed to the kitchen leaving Arjun behind with the girls entertaining him.

"She knows so much about Arnav, no wonder she has a crush on him." Arjun giggled.

"You're kidding, tell me someone else has a crush but Khushi? I don't even remember seeing her say she liked some guy." Avanti said.

"Sometimes I doubt if she's even straight." Kiara giggled.

"Why would you say that? I mean she's gorgeous, she's independent, she sweet, in short she's everything a guy would want, I'm sure there must have been many guys trying to impress her or something." Arjun said.

"You know there was this guy, he was very rich, hottest bachelor in town and he was crazy for her and this girl was literally avoiding him, he had to beg her for friendship and all... but yeah Khushi never fell in love with him.

I bet you can take the most perfect man on earth and put him in front of her and she wouldn't still fall in love, at times I wonder how she does that, I mean who can't fall in love with a guy like..." Avanti was just about to mention Advik's name when Kiara hit her slightly and she stopped talking.

"She's mysterious." Arjun giggled as Khushi walked back with a tray, she handed everyone their cup of coffee and they all sat silently sipping coffee from their cups.

"I bet neither of us is sleeping tonight." Kiara giggled.

"Then we can continue the pillow fight you two were having." Khushi smiled.

"I think I should leave now, It's pretty late." Arjun said once he finished the coffee.

"Sure, I'll walk you out." Khushi stood up and followed him outside until they were at the parking lot.

"It was nice meeting you and your friends." Arjun smiled.

"Especially Avanti right." Khushi giggled.

"Goodbye Khushi, I'll see you some other time." Arjun smiled as he got inside the car.

"Please don't tell Arnav anything about tonight." She said as she bent towards the window and looked at him.

"Don't worry, if you don't want him to know, he won't know." Arjun smiled and drove off as Khushi headed back inside the house.

Khushi arrived at the office early, she had a lot of work to get done with so she stared doing it as soon as she arrived.

"To my office, right now!" Arnav said as soon as he opened the door to Khushi's cabin, he headed straight to his cabin after telling Khushi to go there.

Khushi stood up nervously, he looked really serious and sort of angry, had she messed up something? As far as she remembered she had finished all the work she had to, so why he even angry?

"Yes sir." Khushi asked as she walked inside.

"Where's my coffee?" Arnav asked as he looked at her, she looked confused for a moment but then rushed outside and headed to the kitchen to get him his coffee, he look like he was in a terrible mood.

She walked back with a cup of coffee and placed it on the table, he looked at her for a moment before starting to speak.

"That was very irresponsible of you yesterday." He said.

"Excuse me, what did I do?" Khushi asked in confusion.

"You can't just leave without informing, if you are forgetting we went there for work so if you had to leave you should have informed me before leaving, I had to take responsibility of all the employees that came and you just left.

First of all, what if I had some work with you? Secondly what if something had happened to you? I would be the one to be blamed." Arnav said angrily.

"I am sorry for not informing but it was past my working hours so I could leave whenever I wished to." Khushi said.

"You always think you are right? Why can't you ever accept that you are wrong?"

"I will accept that when I am actually wrong, I said sorry for not informing but apart from that I owe you no explanation." Khushi said angrily.

"Oh yes, why would you owe me any explanation, you should owe that boyfriend of yours an explanation, what was his name? Kabir right!"

"What? Who told you he was my boyfriend? Stop assuming things and even if he was my boyfriend you have no say in my personal life, next time I would inform before leaving but apart from that don't expect anything from me." Khushi turned around and walked away angrily.

"You can't walk away like that!" Arnav shouted from behind but she dint pay heed to him.

What the hell made him think that a creep like Kabir would be her boyfriend and why did he even care?

"Woo... slow down." Arjun said as he bumped into Khushi while she was on her way out of Arnav's office.

"I'm sorry." Khushi said angrily.

"This is the first time someone is saying sorry to me in an angry tone, what happened?" Arjun giggled.

"What does he think of himself? That he would just assume things, and who is he to even ask why I left or whatever, can't he mind his own business?" Khushi asked.

"Did you just fight with Arnav?" Arjun giggled.

"What's funny about that? You know what I need to be alone so I can calm down." Khushi walked away and headed straight to her cabin banging the door angrily, Arjun just smiled and walked inside Arnav's cabin.

Arnav too was busy muttering something to himself as Arjun pulled out a chair and settled down.

"What's going on?" Arjun asked.

"Who is she to talk to me in that tone? No one has ever dared to talk to me in that sort of a tone, what does she think of herself, I can fire her off the job." Arnav said.

"Okay I think that's a good thought, why don't you fire her then? I mean she was talking to Arnav Raizada, she should know how to." Arjun said pretending to be serious while he tried his best not to laugh.

"No I can't fire her." Arnav said.

"Why not, she was rude to you, she talked to you badly, she should definitely get fired."

"Because she is good at her job, she does everything she's told to and it's perfect, she never dissapoints." Arnav shrugged.

"Is it so?" Arjun smirked while Arnav rolled his eyes at him, he knew what exactly Arjun was trying to do so he chose to ignore him instead.

I know they are short updates but at least you get them daily... haha so bear with them for a while, there are going to be long ones in the future too.
