Christian's POV

This last week was absolutely insane. A bunch of people had mixed reactions to my post about the kids. We also got to bring the twins home, and Cassie was so exhausted. She had so many requests, the only one she really cared about getting, was her own bathroom for a little while. Which I didn't mind because things were very different down there right now, and I didn't want her to feel nervous about sharing a bathroom with me at the moment.

Today was Cassie's birthday but I knew she didn't want to celebrate. I woke up her when I sat next to her on the bed. "Happy birthday my love," I said and handed her an iced coffee and a muffin.

"Thank you CY," She said and sat up. "How were the boys this morning? Did they drink the pumped milk?"

"Yes, Noah didn't have a problem but Mason was trying to find a real nipple and he even tried getting mine."

"He definitely is the more difficult one," Cassie said and then looked at the babies in the crib.

"Are you sure you don't want to do anything tonight?" I asked as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Christian we have two kids that are eight days old, and I bleed every time I move too much. I really do want to but I'm too embarrassed."

"Okay, but I ordered a cake and invited everyone over for tonight." Cassie nodded. "Take a shower, I got the boys."

As she got ready for the day, I looked at the boys. They both started crying and I got them one at a time and changed their diapers. "It's mommy's birthday Mason," I said as I put his onesie back on. "So I need you on your best behavior today."

Cassie chuckled and I looked up and she just got out of the shower. "Tell him babe," She said and I just stared at her.

"Fuck I have to wait five more weeks?"

"Yes it's recommend." Her laugh filled the room. "The only thing I'm nervous about, is getting pregnant right now."

"We can wait as long as you want. Plus we might not get a long time with Noah and Mason crying."

"Exactly, it might be a while," She said and looked at clothes. "Maybe in Milwaukee or even Arizona."

"I like how you're thinking," I said and there was silence for a few minutes.

"Babe you need to go to the gym," Cassie said as she walked out.

"Do I have a dad bod yet?" I asked as I held Mason. She shook her head no.

"You've just spent literally a month of not going because you were focused on us. You need to be ready for Spring Training."

"Cas I don't want to leave you here alone," I told her and then looked at Mason.

"Christian you're being like the mom that doesn't want to leave the house. I should've got you pregnant."

"Cas I'll start tomorrow, I'm not missing your birthday," I said. Cassie finished getting ready and then she grabbed Noah and we went downstairs.

"What do you want for breakfast babe?" She asked me.

"You don't need to cook me anything," I said and she opened the fridge and started pulling stuff out of the fridge.

"Nobody is starving in this house," She said and I got up and grabbed Noah from her. I put the kids down in their portable crib type thing.

"Sit your ass down," I said and stood behind her. She went to talk but I picked her up and sat her at the counter.

"That was very sexy," She said and didn't let me go. I kissed her and she kissed back. "Forget the five weeks," Cassie said and went to take my shorts off but I stopped her.
