Christian's POV

"Come on babe. Wake up so we can go see Brielle," Cassie said and ran her fingers through my hair. I pulled her closer to me and she laughed.

"Daddy I cuddle with her!" Mason yelled at me and I pushed her back towards him. He definitely had Cassie's attitude. "You cuddle me!"

"Yes sir," Cassie said and she picked him up and they walked to the bathroom. I sat up and turned on the TV and then Cam walked in. "So can we take your truck or the car?"

"Depends, if you're driving you're not taking the truck."

"Cas took it and she crashed it." She walked out of the bathroom and then looked at him.

"Exactly I crashed it, that's why he doesn't want you driving it. Just take the car, I don't want to hear him bitch about it." I looked towards her, "Yes you heard what I said."

After a good night, she was really acting like this? "Mommy say a bad word," Mason said walking out of the bathroom. I rolled my eyes and got up and passed Cassie, and as I passed her I bumped into her shoulder.

"I don't have time for your shit today Christian," She said, "You know what, take the truck Cam." I glared at the two of them. Cam shrugged and left the room. Mason had went back to Cassie and she picked him up. "Just let him take the stupid truck Christian. It's literally here all year for you to use only. If you don't use it, I am taking it back to the dealership."

I gasped and she just shrugged her shoulders and helped Mason get ready. When we were leaving, I seen my family get in the car. "Why do you have start pointless arguments?"

"Christian it wasn't even an argument. You should just let them take the truck, we hardly ever use it. Collin could've drove it. Sorry if it sounded like I was trying to start an argument."

"We just both need to stop acting like this. And you're right, I should just let them take it. I just am kinda overprotective of her."

"Christian seriously," She said with a laugh. "If this is how you act with your truck, how are you going to act with your daughter."

"I'll be overprotective because guys are disgusting." She looked me up and down and nodded her head. "Hey I'm a very good man, and I will teach our boys to be very good and respectful as well."

Cassie's POV

Fuck what he just said was very hot. "Stop getting the hots for me in front of our boys." I laughed a little and then turned up the volume to the movie that was playing for the kids.

When we got to the hospital, Christian and I went in together first. "Fuck she doesn't look too good babe," I said and grabbed his hand tightly.

He pulled me into his chest and we looked at Brielle. The nurse came in and talked to us about her. "Just recently, she hasn't been doing super good but she has gained a couple of ounces."

That was a small relief but I just wanted to hold my baby in my arms. This wasn't fair. I cried in Christian's arms. I couldn't lose another child. He placed a kiss on my head and rubbed my back.

Like I have said many times these past few days, I will never forgive my body for this. "Come on the least we can do is talk to her. So she can recognize our voices and know that we are here for her." He pulled my head off of his chest and then looked back at her. "Hi Brielle, it's Mommy and Daddy. We really want you to get better so we can bring you home and protect you. We love you so much," Christian said and I couldn't bring myself to say anything.

I was beyond sad. It felt like post partum depression. Brielle had already resembled Christian and I was in love. We stayed in there for a few more minutes before we got Mason and Noah. "Bri?" Noah said and touched her arm. "Daddy what wrong?"

"She's just having a little bit of a hard time. She will get better soon." He nodded and then kept looking at her. "She look like Mase."

"They get it from Daddy huh?" I asked and grabbed him from Christian.

"Why I don't look like Daddy?"

I laughed a little. "Who else is your Dad, Ni-" Christian glared at me and I thought of something else to say. "You look like me baby. You have Daddy's nice personality."

"I want look like Dad too."

"Well I'm sorry, take that up with his genes," I said and handed him back to Christian. I'm hurt, he really doesn't want to look like me. My only kid that looks like me and he wants to be like his Dad. Hopefully Brielle will start to look more like me in the future.

"Brielle," Christian said and rubbed her hand through the little incubator holes. I stayed in there for a few minutes longer and let Cam, Collin and Alecia go.

I stayed in the hallway and started crying. Christian came out and he wrapped his arms around me. "All we can do right now is pray for her babe. She's going to pull through and she will be healthy."

"Christian I went through sixteen hours of labor to not be able to hold her. We didn't get any time. And the boys haven't got to either, we have to see her through a fucking box Christian."

"Cas I know. It's very upsetting but I've told you, there's nothing we can do. We just have to wait until she gets better. I want her in my arms and I want you to be happy. Before you know it she'll be home with us."

Having Christian work endless amount of hours on her nursery and getting all these baby packages and not even being able to use them sucked. I heard the door open and then felt the kids arms wrap around me. "Bri moving right now," Mason told us.

I looked up at Christian. We went into the room and looked at Brielle together. She kept moving and she opened her eyes and looked towards Christian and I. "My baby Brielle," I said and held her hand. She looked towards Christian again and let go of my hand. Christian put his hand through and grabbed hers. She smiled a little and it made me happy.

Even if it was the smallest progress, it made me very happy. Her tiny fingers moved around while they were in his hand. She only stayed awake for a few minutes and then went back to sleep.

Christian smiled at me and pulled me close to him. I kissed him. He was right, she was going to be fine and when the time was right, she would be in our arms.

"Daddy, I hungry!" Mason yelled at Christian as we kissed.

"I have to go to the field bud, but I'm sure we can make a quick breakfast trip." I shook my head no and Mason hit my leg gently.  "Come on world's best Dad is taking everyone out to breakfast."

"Christian we went out yester-" I was cut off by him grabbing my butt and then kissing me. I hit his chest lightly and then he laughed. "We've been eating bad so much lately."

"Hey you're turning into me, calm down baby," Christian said and then went back to Brielle and rubbed her hand again. We stayed with her for a few more minutes and then we left.

As we got in the car, the boys started arguing about something random and I had become so annoyed. "Hey, can all three of you lose the attitudes now?" Christian asked and I looked at him and raised my eyebrows.

"CY," I said and pinched his hand, and he hit me back gently. Mason screamed at him and I laughed a little. "Baby, we're just playing around."

"Don't hit Mommy," He said and Christian glanced at him through the rear view mirror.

"Mase I promise, I'll never hit Mommy. I don't want you to be scared of me. I'm here to protect her, you, Noah and Brielle." He nodded his head and then I looked towards Christian. "I love you," He said and smiled.

"I love you too," I said and grabbed his hand once again.
