Christian's POV
When we got back home, the kids wanted to do something again. "I'll take them," Cassie said and grabbed my car keys. My eyes went wide. "I'll be careful with her." I kissed her and the kids goodbye.
As they were gone, I cleaned up so they could come home to a clean house. They were only out for about an hour, and I heard the door open. I went by the front door and seen Cassie holding a puppy. "What the fuck is this?"
"Uh I didn't expect you to see this," She said and tried putting the puppy down. I shook my head because the floors were going to get scratched.
"Daddy you like?" Noah asked excitedly. I shook my head no. "Why not?"
"I like the dog but I don't want it living here, especially now that we have another kid." Cassie handed me the puppy. "Is this really ours?"
"Well my friend was giving them away, and I was telling her about how you didn't want to keep one. She told me if you didn't want it we can take it back."
"Take it back please," I said and the boys and Cassie were disappointed. They left the house once again.
Cassie's POV
Mason and Noah were crying so much since they weren't able to keep the puppy. I tried bribing them with ice cream and they weren't accepting the offer. "I know, it's all your dad's fault," I told the kids as they cried into my chest as we sat in the driveway of the house.
I really didn't want to give the dog back either but it would be World War 3 in our house if we kept it. We took the dog back and then went back home. Christian had made us lunch and the kids didn't even want to eat it because they were so mad at him.
"I made everyone that mad?" Christian asked and looked at me.
"Well yes," I said and got up and started to feed the kids. I knew this was the only way they were going to eat the food on their plates. "Why don't you want a dog anyways? You told me you'd think about it."
"We have Cooper. And I don't want to travel with a dog from California to Arizona, to Wisconsin."
"It's for the kids and mostly me," I said and then he came behind me and put his hands on my butt. "Now is not the time." Christian and I haven't had some good romantic time with each other in a couple weeks. Either he's been aggressive, or we just haven't had the time to do it. "Your mom wants to celebrate the boys tonight and she bought a cake from a bakery, so we are going to go over there in a few hours or so."
"Alright. While we wait for these next couple hours, we need to talk about us." I loved fixing our problems because I hated when we were mad at each other. But this was about our unresolved problem from the Bahamas.
The kids went down for a nap and then we sat out on the patio together, "I didn't think I was hurting you."
"It was only once the entire time we were having sex, but you hurt me super bad. Now you know why I don't like sleeping with you when you've drank. In the moment I did slap you for hurting me, and I'm going to be honest I don't regret it. That was the only way I felt like I could've got it through your head.
"That's fair. Don't ever feel pressured to tell me if I'm hurting you or if you don't want to sleep with me. Even if we are married Cas. I love you."
"I love your sexy ass too," I said and sat on his lap. I kissed him and then he kissed back. This lasted for about a minute and then I pulled away. "Hey you need to start heading back to the gym."
"I was going before Christmas, why do I look bad? Do I have a dad bod?"
"You don't look bad but you just need to start going again. And no you don't have a dad bod but fuck if you did, I would give it to you everyday."
