Kei had a long day. He had morning training, classes, after dismissal training, and extra training with his brother's team. In short, he was tired and was more than ready and willing to go to sleep.

But when he received a text seconds after lying down, his plan to sleep was ruined.

At first, he wanted to ignore it. It was probably from the team anyways. But then the thought that it was you passed by and that, for some reason, made him check the text.

And it was.

[Name]
You still up?

Tsukishima
Why?

[Name]
Can we meet?

Kei was about to say no to you but then found himself double-thinking that decision. With a sigh, he deleted that text and sent you a question asking where you were.

While waiting for you to reply, the blond changed into something else that could withstand the cold night temperature that would only turn colder soon. He went out of his room, down the stairs, and to the door.

"I'm going out for a while," Kei yelled as he opened the door.

"Don't take long," shouted his mother.

The blond nodded even though his mother couldn't see it. Once he was outside, he took out his phone and looked at your reply.

Kei walked towards the nearest park— the one near where you would split away from him and Tadashi whenever you walked home with them. When he saw a [h/c]-haired girl sitting on one of the wooden chairs, he assumed it was you.

"[Name]," the blond called out.

You turned around checked who it was before smiling.

"There you are," You said.

You jogged towards the blond while waving.

"What took you so long?" You asked, stopping in front of him.

"I had to change," Kei said.

"You had to change?" You asked, giggling a little.

"I didn't want to go out in pajamas, idiot," he said, looking to the side.

You continued to giggle.

"Why did you call me anyway," the blond asked.

You stopped giggling but the smile remained on your face.

"It's a pretty selfish reason to be honest," You said, scratching the back of your head.

"I'm out here in the middle of the night for that," Kei said, looking at you. "At least tell me what it is."

You chuckled, looking down. You bit your lip lightly— a little embarrassed.

"I wanted to see you before I go," You mumbled.

Kei stared at your flustered face as the words you said sunk in, his mind emphasizing that one word.

"Go?" the blond asked. "Is your task done here?"

You shook your head.

"Not exactly," You answered. "I have something more important to do now but not here."

"And you're gonna leave tomorrow?"

"In a few hours, to be honest."

Kei looked at you, confused with what to feel.
