"Tsukishima!" You shouted, catching the attention of the blond who was standing by the gate. "Are the others already gone?"

"No, they're inside the gym talking about something club related," Kei answered. He handed his bag to you and said, "Here."

"Thank you," You said, grabbing the bag then slinging it on your shoulders. "What did you tell them?"

"What you told me," the blond answered. "Family emergency."

"Ah, thanks," You said, smiling a little before looking down and sighing.

Kei looked at you and said, "Something happened."

"How did you...."

"Your face is more annoying than usual," Kei answered.

"Is that so?" You asked, chuckling. "I guess something did happen."

"Is it related to me finding out about you?"

"No so don't worry about that," You said, not wanting him to worry over his safety. "It's just something entirely confusing."

You pinched your nose and sighed again.

"I don't even know why I'm telling you this," You mumbled.

'I must really be confused by what's happening right now.'

"Tsukishima! Oh! [Last Name], you're here?"

The two of you looked at the person who was calling out Kei.

"Suga-san," You said, bowing a little as you greeted him. "Good evening. I'm sorry for leaving earlier."

"It's okay. You had your reasons," Koushi said, smiling at you. "Since you're here, you can join the meeting. Unless you can't stay for long."

"I'm free now," You said, smiling as well.

"Okay," the third-year said, turning around and walking towards the gym. "Come on."

You and Kei followed.

"Hello," You said, stepping in the gym.

"[Last Name]!" Daichi said. "Is everything okay with you? I heard you had to go home because of a family emergency."

"Everything's fine," You said before bowing. "I'm sorry."

"What are you saying sorry for?" Daichi said. "It's fine!"

"Um... I."

You looked at them, a little guilty at all the lies you've been telling them.

'It's not like this is my first time lying. I've lied about my identity more than I can count. But, with them it's different. I've always known that the people I'm lying to are connected to the mission. They aren't though."

"Shin, do you have something to say?" Yu asked, noticing the look on your face— an expression he never saw you have before.

"About that," You said, placing your hand at the back of your head. "I need you all to know..

Kei grabbed you by your arm, stopping you from talking.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked.

"I think I want to stop pretending," You said, making the decision."At least in front of them."

"But isn't it dangerous for anyone who knows?"

"Not if I'm the only one who knows," You said, smiling at him.

"Whatever," Kei said, letting go of you. He noticed how weak your smile was. "This is on your conscience anyway. If you have one."

'I'm actually surprised I still have some conscience left.'

"What were you gonna say, Shin?" Yu asked.

"That's the thing," You said. "My name isn't Shin. I'm not even a [Last Name]."

"What?" the team— minus Kei— said.

"The next thing I'm about to say cannot leave this room," You said. "Even you, Takeda-sensei. You cannot mention this to anyone, even the faculty."

Ittetsu nodded. Even if he was a teacher, he wasn't going to make any rash decision and report you to the board.

"What is it, [Last N- I mean, whoever you are?" Daichi said.

"I'm an agent sent to investigate something connected to Karasuno. That's something I'm not gonna be explaining any further because knowing that I'm an agent is enough truth dump for today," You said.

The team was silent. They were probably still trying to take in what you just said.

You took a deep breath as you continued.

"I can understand if you are a little, or more than little, angry at me for pretending to be someone I'm not. But trust me when I tell you I treated each and every one of you as an actual friend despite not actually being here for the same reason as everyone."

You looked at the floor and bit your lip as you paused.

"I also understand if you'd stop me from continuing to be in the team. I'm not gonna judge you if you do so," You continued. "But please, allow me to continue going here even just as a watcher because I need to make sure Shouyou is safe."

"What?!" Shoutoy shouted. "Am I in danger?!"

"I'll explain more to you personally, Shouyou," You said, smiling at your friend. "So, that's that."

"You're an agent?" Daichi clarified.

"Yes," You answered.

"And you think because of that we're gonna kick you out?" Koushi asked.

"Well, maybe. It's normal to make such decisions when overwhelmed with a strong emotion," You said, fiddling with your fingers. "You can feel anger because I lied to you or maybe fear because I am not someone I said I was."

"Silly!" Yu said, standing up and putting an arm around your shoulder. "We're not gonna kick you out just because your name isn't actually [Last Name] Shin! Right, Daichi-san?"

"I don't see why we should even consider it," Daichi said, shrugging. "He told the truth so that actually helps us trust him more. Besides, he did say that him being here is connected to protecting Hinata."

"I still don't get why I need to be protected," Shouyou said.

"See?" Yu said, looking at you. "I'm just a little offended that Tsukishima got to know first before me."

"Sorry about that," You said, grinning at the second-year. "It was an accident."

You looked over the team who was just looking at you like how they always have.

"You're all surprisingly taking this well," You said, the surprise evident in your tone.

"I would've too if you didn't put a knife to my throat," Kei, who was beside you, mumbled.

"I'm sorry about that," You said, grinning at him as well.

Keishin stood up and cleared his throat.

"Well. That's that," the coach said. "If he wants to continue playing, then what's stopping him?"

"About that as well, Ukai-san," You said.

"You have more to add?"

"Yes."

Yu stepped back a little to give you the space you needed as you talked.

"This is what actually might kick me off the team," You said.

"What is it?" Daichi asked.

"Don't tell me you actually hate volleyball?!" Shouyou exclaimed.

"Oh heavens no," You immediately answered. "I adore volleyball wholeheartedly."

"Then what is it?" Koushi asked.

"Guys," You started. "Oh. And Kiyoko-san and Yachi-san."

You took a deep breath before looking over the team and saying, "I'm actually a girl."

"Huh?!"
