I ran a hand through my hair. They were wavy and kind of nice. Maybe mum's idea of not shortening them was smart. They came down to my back and I could easily tie a knot behind my head. I chose my grey shirt and jeans, and checked my trunk once more.

Today was the day I was heading back to Hogwarts. Yes, it'd reopened after the war and when I received my letter, I couldnt contain my happiness. I quickly sent letters to my friends and thought everyone responded with same joy as mine, one person... did not.

Eddie Gideon.

He never responded to any of the letters I sent to him. This was the first time, I wrote to the guy. True I'd only sent two letters but he didn't respond to either. I was starting to care for him now. Last year was a turn for us. A big one. I'd seen the guy I never knew existed in him. I found the truth behind that annoying, immature teen. The way he fought the battle, the way he protected his friends, his school and especially stood by Harry Potter, blindly. We could all understand that Neville Longbottom had known Harry Potter for years and was trusting him but Ed had known him barely and there he was, marching and walking the first defense line. It really made me admire him and his bravery. He started believing in the war himself and by the end, I could tell, he was fighting for himself.

"Ready, honey?" I heard and mum was standing in a perfect dark suit and tied up hair.

"I think so." I fixed my shirt.

"Here." She came in with a small box. I grinned and took it.

"Whats this?"

"Just open it." Mum chuckled.

I flipped it open to reveal a bracelet. One with many charms hanging around. There was even a tiny firefly who would flap its glittery wings very little.

"Whenever you smile, it will release a bit of glitter. Don't worry, it won't stick on you. Just disappear like stars."

"Oh, mum, this is beautiful."

"You can attach as many charms as you want on it."

"Five are good enough." I chuckled at the little broomstick, snitch, book, wand and a cauldron. They were so tiny but so wonderful. Perfect size on my wrist.

"Good luck for this year, baby." She kissed my forehead and hugged me tight.

"Thanks."

I tucked my wand and grabbed my messenger bag. Helping mum with the luggage, we drove out of the drive way.

"Excited, honey?" She asked as we neared the station. A strange feeling grew in my stomach and I was confused as to what it was. Happiness? Excitement or nervousness?

"Yeah." I smirked. We pulled up a trolley and set my bags on. Mum bought a ticket for the train to Wales. She was going there for a couple days so things were working out well for us. She walked with me to the platform and asked me to run through first. I told her to catch her train and that I'll be fine. I truly would be. This was my fourth time, not including all the holidays.

When I entered the platform, I grinned at the sight of the buzzing crowd. Inhaling the fresh smell of the train smoke I felt happy. I did. It was as if all was normal for the first time. That there was no Dark Lord ready to kill us all. No Death Eaters interrupting the platform. All smiles and joy. I was just walking with a smile a hand placed itself on my trunk and I gasped at their snicker after a plea to pause.
