The sound of Rosie's phone ringing made the laughter from the girls seize. She thought maybe it was you or her parents, but when she saw your friend's name on the screen she couldn't deny that she was both confused and felt a hint of anxiety.

You're both supposed to be in class at your university right now, buried deep in your studies and class. She knew that something wasn't right.

"Hello?"

"Rosie!"

She sat up suddenly upon hearing the concern and urgency in her voice.

"Rosie, you need to come to the hospital right now! Y/n fainted in class!"

"What?! Is she okay?"

"I-I think she will be. The paramedics brought her here and I came along. They said that she hasn't eaten for a couple of days and she's been pushing herself to work out so she's weak and," she paused, tears in her eyes to even think about you, her best friend, in such a serious state.

"I'll be there in a few! If you see her, let her know that I'm coming!" She spoke frantically through the lump growing in her throat and the tears stinging her eyes.

The girls were all sat around, exchanging worried glances and mouthing words to each other. They were scared to see Rosie so frantic and didn't hesitate to comfort her as she fought to hurriedly get her jacket on.

She jumped upon feeling Jisoo's hand on her shoulder, looking at the girls with tears in her eyes. "Y/n is in the hospital. Her friend said that they told her she hasn't been eating and she's been pushing herself hard lately. I have to go right now!"

"Of course, go! Just let us know how she is later!" Jennie yelled out as Rosé ran out the door.

With shaking hands and through the blur of her tears, she managed to get a cab that was only a block or two away. She hopped into the car, telling the driver it was an emergency and she needed to get to the hospital right away. She occupied herself by bouncing her knee and obsessively checking her phone. Telling herself that no news from your friend was good news and she'd be there by your side in no time.

Pulling to the hospital doors, she handed the driver some money and hurriedly rushed through. Her heart was hammering against her ribcage as she looked around for your friend, who called out for her to grab her attention.

"Rosie!"

She ran to your friend and hugged her tight. She knew they both needed some comfort at that moment and she didn't hesitate to give her a warm hug.

"Is she okay?"

"I heard she will be. They had to do a few tests and things like that, but she'll be alright. It's not as serious as it could be, had she gone on this way." Your friend explained as she took a seat beside Rose in the empty waiting room.

"You had no idea?"

"No clue. She never said anything to me. She mentioned going for runs or to the gym a little over the last two days, but nothing that would've led me to believe she was in this kind of state. I didn't know she wasn't eating and if I did, you know I'd come to you and tell you in a heartbeat."

"I know," Rosie assured. "Trust me, I do."

Your friend nodded and tried to think of what to say, but before she got the chance there was a nurse approaching them both.

"Are you here for y/n?"

"Yes! Is she okay?"

"She's fine. She'll be alright. In fact, she's asking for you." The older nurse sent them a smile, but it was nowhere near enough to calm Rosie's nerves.

Your best friend stayed behind so Rosé could talk to you privately about all of this. She followed the nurse down the hall but it felt like forever until she reached your room.

She walked in on shaky legs and it took her by surprise to find you hooked up to a few things. She padded over to you and sat in the chair beside your bed. She kept her hands folded in her lap as she tried to rack her brain for what to say.

"Y/n,"

"I'm sorry." You mumbled as everything began to hit you. How bad things could've gotten and how worried you must've made both your best friend and your girlfriend.

"Why didn't you tell me? What made you do this? I don't understand why you'd ever do this to yourself..." She spoke as she moved her hand from her lap and onto yours on the bed and tried to blink away her tears, but they only continues to fall.

"People were saying things about me and I didn't feel good about myself anymore. I just thought that if I did this..."

She squeezed her eyes shut and took in a shaky breath before looking back at you.

"I didn't think it'd get so bad so fast. But I just began to obsess over it. I wanted to be better, to look better, and feel better about myself. I guess I got carried away."

"You can't push yourself like this, y/n. You could've seriously hurt yourself." She reminded you as she squeezed your hand reassuringly, making sure you knew she wasn't angry but rather concerned and afraid.

"I know. I won't anymore. I promise."

Rosie reached for your hand and brought it to her lips.

"Whatever you need me to do, I'll help. I don't care if I'm halfway across the world or right by your side, I will always be here for you. Right now all that matters is you're okay. No more of this, though. No more scaring me like this."

"Never again." You promised and this time, Rosie placed many kisses across your knuckles and when your heart began to beat a little faster it was heard on the machine causing you both to chuckle.

"I love you." She whispered against your knuckles. "I love you so much, just the way you are. If you ever feel low or bad about yourself, you come straight to me and I promise I'll help you feel better however you need me to. I love you. Don't ever change, baby girl."

"Okay. I love you too, Rosé." You mumbled and squeezed her hand the best you could.

You knew everything was gonna be just fine because you have her by your side every step of the way.
