"Good evening, my love," Rosie said, kissing your cheek as she set something down carefully on the floor by her feet. "Aren't you gonna tell me hello?" She teased as she watched your fingers move rapidly against the buttons on your controller.

Your teeth sank into your lip as you stared intensely at the screen, so deep in your game that she wondered if you even knew she was there.

"Hey, babe. Can't talk. I'm in the middle of something."

She just leaned back against the couch and watched you play. There was a special surprise in the box by her feet but you were so occupied and focused that she decided it could wait until you were finished with this round.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket, just to scroll through Twitter for a minute or two until you were done. But before she could even unlock her phone, you were groaning in frustration and throwing your controller on the sofa.

"What's wrong?"

"My system is going bad! It just shut down on me." You sighed as you buried your face in your hands and rubbed your temples soothingly.

"Well, that's good!"

You didn't know what was stranger. Her response or her excitement. But it left you confused and you couldn't help but glare at her.

"Don't glare at me like that." She said and playfully booped your nose which made you smile. "I'm just saying it's good because you don't need it anymore."

"How else am I supposed to play my games?"

She grabbed the box onto the floor and carefully placed it on the sofa between you.

"Why don't you open this and see?"

You hurriedly tore off the wrapping paper as you wondered what could be inside. You didn't even get it all the way off before you saw the logo on the box and you gasped while staring up at your girlfriend with hopeful eyes.

She helped you tear the rest of it away and threw the paper onto the floor and when she looked back up at you, you were happier than she's seen you be when it came to your games for the first time in a long time.

"Surprise!"

"Rosie," You spoke in awe, brushing your hand over the ps5 box where the game system of your dreams was just inside. "This is amazing. I've been wanting it! But you didn't have to get it for me."

"No, don't do that." She said as she laid her hand over yours. "Y/n, you've had the same game system for years now and we both know there's not much life left to it. You deserve this. You deserve to have some fun playing your video games."

You giggled and then threw your arms around her happily.

"Thank you!"

"You're welcome, baby girl! I told Jisoo I was getting it for you so you know where she'll be over the next few days."

You laughed and excitedly opened the box to admire the game system that you've been hoping to get, but didn't have the money to do so yet.

"I got you a bunch of games I thought you'd love. But, because I got it for you, you have to let me play one with you now."

Your smile was so wide, eyes so bright, that it made all the money spent so worth it. She knows how much you love to play your games. You're not addicted, but you love spending your free time playing and your previous system made that so complicated. She knew this meant a lot to you and it made her so happy to see how excited you were about playing your games again.

She helped you hook it up and then sat back beside you as it started up.

But you didn't press play right away, simply stared at her fondly instead.

"What?" She laughed but stopped when you put your controller down and crawled onto her lap and hugged her. She sighed as she buried her lips in your hair to kiss the crown of your head and felt you melt into her arms.

"I don't know what I ever did to deserve you. This means the world to me, Rosie, and so do you. I know I told you thank you already but I really can't put into words how much it means to me. Thank you so much."

She kissed you lovingly then dropped her forehead onto yours so she could stare into your bright eyes for a moment.

"I just love seeing you so happy, y/n. I'd do anything for you, anything to see you smile. I love you."

"I love you." You replied before kissing her again, sighing against her lips when she cupped your cheeks and deepened the kiss for a beautiful moment.

"Let's play now."

"You're going down, Rosie!"

She laughed and laid her head on your shoulder while you explained the controls to her and started the game.

She didn't care at all if she won or if she lost; she just wanted you to stay this happy.
