Rosie held your hand tightly in hers as you walked down the hall and back to the room at your doctors office. She could feel your hand shaking and each time, she'd give you a little reassuring squeeze. But it did nothing to calm your racing mind.

"I feel sick." You mumbled and watched Rosie shake her head and lay her hand on your knee.

"You're just scared, baby. It's alright." She comforted and hooked her fingers under your chin to get you to look at her.

She knows how afraid of needles you are, so the look of fear and worry in your eyes didn't surprise her. She was trying her best to calm you and get your mind focused on something else, but you were too nervous and the needle you have to get today was the only thing you could think about.

A knock on the door made both of you turn and you whined nervously when you saw the nurse walk in with a needle in her gloved hand.

"It's alright, my love. It's only a quick pinch and then it's done and over with."

It didn't ease your mind any and you started to bounce your knee, only stopping when Rosé laid her hand over it again and squeezed it.

"Take a deep breath."

"I can't." You shook your head and quickly took her hand into yours. Your grip was strong, preventing her from pulling away; although she had no plan on doing so. You watched the nurse gather everything and approach you and your teeth sank into your lip so hard Rosie worried it might bleed.

"It's okay." She soothed, brushing her thumb along your lower lip. "I'm here. Don't look at the needle, just look at me. I'm here, I've got you, my love."

You gazed into her eyes but jumped when the wipe brushed against your arm. The nurse let out a small chuckle and apologized quickly.

"You're okay. It's gonna be fast. Just a small, quick pinch and it's all over." Rosie soothed and brushed her thumb along your knuckles while keeping her eyes locked with yours.

She looked away for a second, just watching as the nurse moved the needle closer to your arm.

"Did I ever tell you about the time I came with Lisa and she passed out?" She asked, hoping to distract you as the needle crept closer to your skin.

It worked for a moment; a giggle left your lips at first, but then you scrunched up your nose and squeezed your eyes shut when it went into your arm.

"Good girl, it's almost done." She comforted. "Look at me."

You kept your eyes locked with hers and focused on the comforting words falling from her lips until the needle was pulled out and a bandaid was placed over your arm.

"All done!" The nurse grinned.

"See? Good job, baby! Wasn't all that bad, was it?"

"Yes." You grumbled and pouted your lips only stopping when she gave you a little kiss.

"At least you didn't pass out like Lili did. That's something to be proud of!"

You laughed and got off the bed as she took your hand, your head dropping onto her shoulder.

"Okay, my tough cookie. You deserve something special. How about we order some takeout and have a movie marathon?"

"And ice cream?"

She laughed and threw her arm around your shoulder as you walked out of the doctor's office together.

"Sure, baby girl. Anything you want."
