Rosie held your hand as she walked with you through the crowded bar.

You took a look around and wrinkled your nose in disgust as she carefully walked with you through the crowd of strangers who practically reeked of alcohol.

You took a seat with her on the barstools.

She looked around and placed her hand on your thigh, both out of protection for people that were already beginning to stare and as a way to give you a little comfort as you both tried to block out the noise from the tipsy and drunk people nearby.

"What would you like, baby?" She asked you but you bit your lip and shrugged, watching as she furrowed her eyebrows.

She looked as confused as you did as you looked over all the drink options.

"You don't know what you want?"

"Not really." You turned to her, feeling your heart flutter, like always, as you noticed that smile on her face as she stares at you with those stars in her eyes. "I've never had any alcohol before."

She chuckled but when you didn't do the same and she saw that familiar look of genuineness in your eyes she realized you weren't kidding.

"Wait. You've never had a drink in your life? Not even with your friends in high school?"

"No."

She bit her lip as she pinched your cheek.

"Good girl."

You laughed a little as your cheeks heated up and then looked over all the options again.

"I don't know how you held out. It's good."

"It is?"

She nodded and you looked at all the sleazy drunk people around you.

"It might taste good but it sure doesn't smell good."

She giggled and squeezed your knee.

"Do you want to try something? Or would you rather go somewhere else?"

You looked at the choices once more then over at the bartender who curiously waited for you and Rosie to tell him what you wanted.

You ordered an old fashioned and Rosie held off on ordering something for herself, just to watch your reaction and see if you'd enjoy date night here or elsewhere.

You quickly downed it and then made a disgusted face. She couldn't help but giggle, swearing her heart might just explode right out of her chest over how cute you looked.

"Do you want to go somewhere else, baby girl?"

"Are you sure?"

"Oh, yeah. You didn't seem to enjoy that at all and, honestly, I don't blame you all that much. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. We'll find something more fun to do, something better."

"But you wanted to come out for drinks and I don't want you to be disappointed." You spoke sadly as she got off the seat and tugged on your hand to try to get you off of yours, too.

But she came to your side and put her arms around you instead.

Dropping her forehead onto yours, she gazed into your eyes with her soft brown orbs as she brushed a lock of hair behind your ear.

"You won't ever disappoint me. If you're not ready to drink, or just uninterested, we will find something else to do. I'd never force you to try more or want you to feel uncomfortable in any way. Besides,"

She paused and glared over at one of the guys across the room, who had his eyes on you as he continued to drink his beer.

"The people in here are weird and I don't like them staring at my girl like that. Let's go to that cute little cafe instead. Get some hot chocolate or something."

You grinned in excitement and got up.

She gave you a quick kiss on your lips before you walked out the door, smirking to herself when she watched the guy roll his eyes and realize you were taken.

She put her arm around you and carefully guided you back to the door to take you to that cafe you love so much, somewhere so much better than this.
