You fixed the sheet over your lap as you tried to make yourself a little more comfortable in the hospital bed.

You didn't exactly picture yourself here tonight, and for the next several nights to come, but you've felt sick over the last two days.

With Rosé out on tour, your best friend came over to take care of you. All seemed well for a little bit. Until you started to throw up blood when you continued to vomit.

There was no getting out of it; your best friend drove you to the hospital as quickly as possible then left to grab you some things when you found out that you'd be here for a while. She stayed for a few minutes before leaving to let you rest.

Now you're alone in the hospital room. It's only you and all you can hear is the squeaky shoes on the floor and the sound of the heart monitor tracking your heart rate.

You found yourself growing bored. You're anxiously waiting for your phone to charge. It died on your way here and it feels like it's taken forever to get a good enough charge for you to unplug it and facetime Rosie, who you know has to be worrying about you.

You found the strength to reach over and unplug it from the charger. With a good enough charge, you found yourself cracking a smile for the very first time since you arrived here.

You tapped on her name and it started to ring. It was only seconds later when she appeared on your screen, looking worried and confused.

"Y/n! I've been worried sick about you!" She exclaimed and brushed her fingers through her hair while she took a deep breath and then let it fall from your lips. She heard the sound of the heart monitor, the constant beep catching her attention. "What's that sound? Baby, where are you?"

"I'm in the hospital."

"What?"

"I'm okay, baby, don't worry."

"Easier said than done!" She sighed. "I don't understand. Why are you there? I thought you just had a stomach bug."

"I thought so too. But I was wrong. It's the flu and a really, really bad case of it. But don't worry, I'll be okay."

She was silent, frowning and staring at her lap instead of at you through the screen.

"Rosé? What is it? What's wrong?"

"I feel so awful. First for not being there when you were so unwell and now you're in the hospital and I have so much to do that I can't get away even if I tried. I can't come home to you and I hate that and I'm so sorry." She said as tears swam in her eyes.

"No, Rosie, no. It's alright. I understand. Trust me, I'm gonna be just fine. Maybe I'll even pay you a visit when I get better!"

She laughed through the worried tears in her eyes and nodded happily.

"I'd love that. But for now, you need to worry about getting better, and that starts with some sleep."

"Okay... but on one condition."

She nodded, waiting for you to answer.

"I know you have a lot of singing to do tonight but I'm not one of the lucky ones in the crowd. Could you sing to me?"

She just giggled happily and said, "You know I'll be happy to. Any special requests?"

"No. Just need to hear your beautiful voice." You said and closed your eyes to rest, quickly falling into a deep slumber as she sang your favorite song to you, bringing you immense comfort even in a place as scary as a hospital.

The next few days were spent feeling the same; bored, sick, and tired. If it weren't for Rosé there to facetime you every minute she possibly could, you're certain you would've gone out of your mind. She sang to you, told you stories, let you talk with the girls, and watched you sleep.
