Rosie placed the dark chocolate down on the table in front of you with a sweet smile and a kiss on your head.
"Got you a study snack." She spoke softly in your ear as she played with your hair comfortingly. "Love you, sweet girl. You're doing great, I'm sure. Keep up the fantastic work." She encourages and then went to the bed to give you some space.
She's been so helpful and comforting these last few days while you've been studying for your exams for your university classes. She knows you're stressed and frustrated at times, so she's been doing her very best to comfort you when you need her.
She didn't want to distract or disturb you in any way, so she busied herself with her phone. She kept the volume off so nothing she stumbled upon could make any sound to bother you. She thought you were doing wonderfully. So quiet because you were just really in the zone.
But she jumped when she heard you suddenly slam your hands on the desk with a groan of frustration.
You shoved the papers away and buried your face in your hands.
Sensing how upset you were, she got up and hugged you from behind. Her cheek fell to your shoulder and she rubbed your upper back reassuringly.
"What's wrong? What is it, baby girl?"
"I don't think I can do it." You mumbled. "I don't feel like I'm capable. I feel like I'm forgetting everything no matter how much I go over it all."
"That's alright, baby. It's okay to feel that way. But I know you've got this. You're the smartest girl I know and you're more capable than you realize."
"Really?"
"Really, sweet girl. You're gonna do great."
You craned your neck to smile at her. Her eyes always make you melt, especially when you can see the love shining in them. Seeing that look of adoration in her eyes now when you so needed it made you feel so comforted.
"Thanks, baby. You always know what to say to make me feel better."
"I'm just telling you the truth, my girl." She said before giving you a kiss. You pulled away looking hesitant like something was on your mind but you were too afraid to say the words aloud.
"What's going through your mind?"
"Could you help me study? I understand if you don't want to but it'd be great. Even if you just ask me questions so I can memorize everything."
"You know I'm happy to." She said before kissing your cheek and sitting in the chair beside you. "Okay. What do we got here?" She mumbled to herself and sorted through the pages and beginning to help you.
There were moments you struggled and stumbled over your answers. You second-guessed yourself, doubting your capabilities and thoughts.
But Rosé wasn't letting you get away with that. She would push the pages away and lay her hand over yours. With her other hand, she reached up to brush your hair behind your ear.
"You're underestimating yourself terribly. You're so smart, y/n. I believe in you..." she said and squeezed your hand. "It's time you believe in yourself. You've got this. I know you do."
You took a deep breath and nodded before returning to study. This time around, you felt much more confident and capable and you did so well that Rosie pushed the papers aside once more to bring you into her arms.
"You're doing great!"
"Because I've got you. If you didn't believe in me and cheer me on, I don't think I'd feel as good about it as I do now." You explained and she gave you a sweet kiss.
"You're gonna do so great, baby. I told you: you've got this! Now, let's study more than we'll order takeout; my treat."
"Sounds incredible." You said and got ready to study again, feeling more and more confident as time went on.
You knew you'd do great on your exams. You've got a great cheerleader and study buddy by your side, there to support you whenever you needed her.
