You stared at your phone through the blur of your tears. The hurtful comments under your posts wouldn't stop coming and each one seemed to be viler than the last.

The last few days have been horrible. You've stayed sheltered inside your shared home with Rosie and you've only found comfort in her arms throughout this terrible time.

Your relationship with Rosé recently got leaked and it's been a whirlwind ever since. From the articles the media writes up to the comments you're getting from fans. It's all taken a toll on you.

Rosie hasn't left your side until today. She felt so guilty when Jennie texted last night to tell her that they couldn't get her out of the group activities today. You weren't upset. You understood. You've been dating for eight months now, you know things like this come up that are out of her control.

You managed to get through the morning and into the afternoon now by watching films you love and distancing yourself from your phone.

But you picked it up when your phone chimed with a message from your best friend who was simply checking in on you and you became curious about what was happening on social media, and you can't seem to put the phone down now.

The comments, the mentions, the links to vicious articles were all over your social media. You couldn't help but cry; the pain in your heart was overwhelming.

These people didn't even know you, but they were treating you like you were scum. They were starting rumors, calling you the most degrading names, and bringing you down.

You buried your face behind your hands and felt your tears fall down your cheeks and onto your palms. You tugged your knees to your chest, hugging them tightly after tossing your phone across the room in anger and heartbreak.

You're not sure how much time went by since the first tear fell down your cheek, but you soon heard the sound of the door slamming downstairs and fast footsteps rushing up to your room.

Rosé called out for you about halfway up the steps. You could hear the concern in her voice and you know it's only bound to grow when she sees the tears that continue to fall down your cheeks.

But you couldn't stop them even if you tried. There was no way to hide them or try to put on a brave face to not worry her. You were too crushed, feeling almost like the world hated you.

"Y/N?" She yelled as she made it to the doorway of the bedroom.

She swallowed thickly, attempting to get rid of the lump already growing in her throat when you looked her way and she saw your puffy cheeks and watched a tear slide down them.

"Oh, baby," she mumbled sadly and rushed to you.

She sat on the bed and brought you into her arms. You buried your face in her shirt and she didn't complain once when your tears began to seep through her shirt.

"They hate me." You whimpered. "The things they're saying about me..." you tried to finish but had to pause when a sob fell from your lips.

"I know. I saw some of the things they were saying." She whispered and tightened her grip on you. "I'm so sorry. I hate that you're going through this."

She was being fully honest. She knew it was impossible, but she almost wanted to keep you inside where she'd be able to shelter you from the world that you felt was against you right now.

She wanted to keep you safe, to protect you from everything that would hurt you.

Because you're her entire world and she's not sure what she'd ever do without you.

"I know it hurts. The internet is a terrible thing sometimes. I wish I could make it all stop. I wish I could hold you forever and never let you go. I wish people weren't so cruel. I hate that you're feeling this way."

You just sniffled in response, dropping your warm cheek onto her shoulder.

"I love you though. You know that, right?" She asked, staring down at you and into your sad eyes when you looked her way. "I will always be here to keep you safe. No matter what happens, even when you feel like you have no one, you will always have me."

You cracked a tearful smile and closed your eyes as she leaned in to kiss your forehead.

"These fans that are sending you hate aren't my fans. Because my fans, the ones that love me, truly love me, are happy for us. I know it's harder to see over the negativity, but they're out there. They get sorta drowned out. But they won't be forever."

You nodded slowly.

"I know it hurts. I know it's so much to adjust to. I know it's hard when people look at you and don't even get a chance to know you before they judge you. I've been going through that for years. But it gets easier, that I promise you."

"What if it doesn't?" You wondered. "I'm scared you'll leave."

"I love you so much, y/n. There is nothing in this world that could happen that would ever make me stop loving you or leave you."

"I love you too." You whispered.

"You're stuck with me forever, baby girl. Sorry to break it to you but you just can't get rid of me. You've got me wrapped around your finger now." She smiled as she intertwined your hand with hers.

You smiled in response and her heart melted when she watched it become brighter as she leaned down to brush the tip of her nose against yours.

"People are always gonna try to bring you down. But just know that it's not about you. These people are just jealous or they have nothing better to do with their time. Some people might not see it, but you're absolutely perfect in my eyes. You're everything I've ever dreamt of."

You smiled again, dropping your forehead against hers.

"What'd I ever do to deserve you?"

"I ask myself the same thing, baby." She said. "Let's put the phone away for a while. Let's forget about the rest of the world while we cuddle and watch some movies. I'll sing to you, rub your back, cook you dinner or order some takeout. We'll just be present together. Just you and me against the world."

"I like the sound of that." You smiled and she brought you in for a loving kiss.

"We'll get through this together. It'll take some time, but we're gonna be just fine. Don't be afraid to talk to me about these things. Don't be ashamed to cry when you need to. I'm always gonna be here for you and I will always make things better."

"I love you so much." You said, almost crying again, but this time your tears were ones of happiness.

Rosé laid down and brought your head to her chest while she held you as tight as she possibly could.

"I'll never let you go." She promised and you knew then that you'd always make it through whatever the world throws at you with Rosie by your side.
