Rosé closed the front door and kicked off her shoes with a sigh. She looked around the room, a little worried about why the house seemed so quiet and so still.

"Y/n? Where are you? Everything okay?" She called out before she stepped into the kitchen, thinking she'd check there before she checked upstairs for you. To her relief, you sat at the counter in one of the stools. But her smile that she was only beginning to crack faded fast upon noticing your suitcase and your bags on the floor in front of you.

"What's this?" She asked and chuckled nervously. You lifted your head and sent her a sad gaze before patting the chair beside you. "You're making me nervous. Why are your bags packed? Are you going somewhere?"

"I'm leaving."

"What?" She asked breathlessly, feeling as though all the air was vanishing from her lungs. She couldn't breathe and her heart was hammering against her ribcage, faster and harder than ever before. She swiped her tongue against her lip, trying to convince herself that it wasn't the kind of leaving she's always feared.

"Well... when will you be back?"

"Never." You spoke and looked into her eyes for the first time. You regretted it immediately though because she already had tears in her eyes.

"I don't understand. Why? When did you make this decision? Is it something I did? Something I said?" She rambled anxiously, not letting you get a word in edgewise.

"Rosé,"

"No!" She yelled out, voice cracking and breath shaky as she tried to keep herself from breaking down at the fear that she's always had. "I can't let you go. Please don't go." She whimpered, reaching for your hands and squeezing them so tightly that you couldn't pull away even if you tried. "I love you. I thought that we were doing fine, our relationship has never been better!"

You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to keep yourself from tearing up but not in the way she probably thought.

"You're my whole world." She whispered, bringing your hands to her lips to lay little kisses on your skin. "I don't want you to go. I want you to stay. I want you to stay right here with me, forever. Please don't leave. I'll do anything, just don't go."

She threw her forehead on your shoulder and let go of your hands to bunch your shirt up in her fists. She was clinging to you so tightly you thought she'd actually rip your shirt.

"Oh, baby." You whispered as you put your arms around her to hold onto her. "I'm not leaving. I wouldn't ever leave you. I'm staying right here, I promise."

She pulled away quickly, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She blinked a few times to rid the tears clouding her vision.

"Really?"

"Yeah," you said as you brushed her hair behind her ear. You bit your lip, knowing you were gonna have to explain this to her and, understandably, she wasn't gonna be happy. "It was a prank."

Her eyes were wider than you've ever seen before. She scoffed and pushed your shoulders, causing your hands to fall onto your lap.

"I can't believe you! You scared me! I thought you were serious! It was all just a prank? You thought it was funny?" She shook her head and turned around to walk out of the room. But you wrapped your arms around her and hugged her to your chest.

"Don't go."

She was quiet as she lowered her head. She took a shaky breath and muttered something that broke your heart.

"You know I'm afraid of losing you, right? I'm always afraid that you'll actually leave. You really freaked me out."

You sighed sadly and let her go so she could turn around. You put your arms around her and laid your cheek on her chest. "I'm so sorry. I didn't think it through."

"I love you so much. I'm always scared you'll really leave."

You lifted your head quickly and cupped her cheeks. She closed her eyes and leaned into your touch. Turning her head with her eyes still closed, she brushed her lips against your palm.

"I'm not going anywhere. It was a stupid prank, I shouldn't have pulled it on you. I'm sorry, baby. But know that I'm never gonna leave you. I love you too much to ever do that. I couldn't imagine not having you in my life or going through all my good and bad days without you right by my side to make them better."

She smiled and reached up to lay her hands over yours.

"I love you, y/n." She whispered and leaned down to brush her lips against yours. "Don't ever do anything like that again. I don't think I can handle another scare like that."

You chuckled and pressed your lips back onto hers for another kiss.

"Never again. I promise."
