You jumped when you heard the creak of the floor under Rosie's sock-covered feet. You reached over to turn on the lamp and watched her head lift quickly. You didn't even have to take one glance at the clock; you know the time already.

She's been getting home between five-six in the morning lately. As if that's not enough to worry you, she's out the door again just a couple of hours later.

Sometimes she'll sleep through them. Other times, she eats and showers and curls up with you. The time flies by before she knows it every time.

Despite her exhaustion, she always pushes through.

"Another six am arrival, babe?"

She sighed as she made her way to the bed.

"Yeah. Sorry that I woke you. Go back to sleep."

Sometimes, you do. Sometimes, when you have busy days, you can't fight the sleep you so crave and just fall right back asleep.

But something feels different tonight. You felt this ache in your heart as she sat down beside you and let her hair down. She put her head back and let the bones in her neck crack.

You reached over and put a hand on her shoulder. Her body was tense. She was stressed and exhausted and although she tries, and sometimes is successful, to fool others, she can't fool you.

"Rosie?"

She turned to look at you and a small smile tugged at her lips. It did nothing to comfort you though like it usually would. Not when you saw those dark circles under her eyes and saw how heavy they looked.

"I'm worried about you."

"I'm alright." She said and took your hand into hers to bring it to her lips, where she peppered kisses across your knuckles in an attempt to reassure your busy brain.

"You always say that. But you and I both know you're not alright. You can't fool me, Rosie. You're so far from being okay and it really hurts me to see you like this."

She lowered her head but she still held your hand. She didn't exactly have a strong grip on it. You knew she was too exhausted to have too much strength.

But she gripped it as tight as she could; as if she was hoping you wouldn't pull it away.

"I don't really know what to do." She mumbled. "I'm tired, y/n."

"I know you are, baby." You whispered comfortingly.

"But I can't stop doing this. People need me. I have to keep working hard."

You heard the crack in her voice. She was trying hard not to cry. Usually, she'd be able to hold back any sadness she felt and put on a brave face.

But with how stressed she is and how worn out she feels, physically and mentally, she's having a hard time keeping her emotions bottled up; especially since it's you she's talking to about it.

"There's a lot of pressure. I've been doing this for so long now you think I'd be used to it. But it's so much more intense. People look up to me. They count on me," she paused and turned to look at you, allowing for you to see the tears in her sad and tired brown eyes. "I don't want to let anyone down."

"Baby," you spoke sadly and opened your arms for.

Like always, she leaned on you. Because she knows, in your arms, is where she's safest and most secure. She knows that she has you through all of this.

You're not just her girlfriend; you're her best friend, her confidant, her safe place. Leaning on you is only natural for her. She knows you're never gonna judge her, no matter how she feels. That she's safe and she can let those tears fall. You'll always be there to hold her and wipe them away.

"I know you're going through a lot. I know that there's so much pressure on you between the group and your solo. But I know you can only take so much. You're not some machine, Rosie. You're a person, like everyone else. You're exhausted. You've reached your limit. You have to take care of yourself."

She sniffled and you could feel a couple of her tears hit your neck.

"You could never let anyone down. Not now, not ever. You've got so many people who adore you. Your fans, the real ones, aren't going to push you to your limit. They know you have to have some time for yourself in order for you to be the best you can be when you're on stage or doing comebacks. They'd want you to take some time to look after yourself."

She held you tight and closed her eyes as she listened to you, feeling safe in your embrace and comforted by your words.

"I love you. I love you more than I ever thought I could love someone. It breaks my heart to see you pushing yourself so hard. You hardly sleep or eat anymore. You can't keep living like this, Rosie. I only want the best for you and I'm so worried about you."

She nodded slowly, knowing you were right.

"I want you to take today off. I want you to catch up on sleep. I'll cook for you or order you something from your favorite spot. I want you to laugh at some silly movie or goofy videos. I want to see that real, beautiful smile of yours. I want you to relax and let me hold you. For me, please, take the day off. Let me spoil you with some TLC."

She chuckled as she pulled away from your neck and put her forehead on yours. She stared into your eyes and for the first time in a while, you saw a genuine sparkle in them; a hint of real happiness.

"I'd love that." She smiled.

"So, you'll stay home today?"

"Yeah." She answered. "I want that. I need that and... I need you."

"I'm right here." You said as you held her again, keeping her as close to you as you could.

You felt her relax. You felt the tenseness leave her body, replaced with comfort and calmness.

"I've got you. I won't let you go."

"I know." She whispered, softly kissing your neck. "I know you've always got me. I love you for that; for making everything better and being here for me, always."

You kissed her head and rubbed her back until she fell asleep with her head on your chest. You laid down and gently pulled her with you. You turned the lamp off and covered her up a little while you continued to rub her back and hold her tight.

You didn't care how long she slept. You'd stay still. You'd keep her warm and safe.

Always.
