"Do you like it here?" Gabriel asked after a moment of silence and Emily just nodded. "This is a good place para magsulat, tahimik lang kasi," he added and Emily just nodded again.

Gabriel is quick to feel the cold treatment so he said, "but if you prefer to be alone, dun ko na lang ipapa-serve yung coffee ko sa kwarto," then stood up.

"Why is there a sudden change of mood?" Emily could not help but asked.

"Excuse me, but what are you talking about?" Gabriel asked in reply.

"Since you left you have been treating me coldly. I get it na hindi mo naman kailangang magpaalam sa akin na bigla-bigla ka na lang aalis ng bansa, pero sana naman sasagot ka kaagad kung may concern ako about work kasi ang hirap magtrabaho kung may mga inquiry na tanging ikaw lang ang nakakaalam, nagawan ko na nang paraan yung problema bago ka pa sumagot sa messages ko for the solution," Emily said. "Then you came home this morning and treated me the same. Then all of a sudden isasama mo ako sa malayong lugar na ito para lang samahan kang magkape?" she further ranted.

Gabriel looked at his watch and smiles, "Well it is pass working hours na. I guess I can already take that rant of an employee to her Boss since tapos naman na oras ng trabaho," he commented.

"At mukha namang wala akong gagawing trabaho dito maliban sa samahan ka lang. Kaya baka pwede namang bumalik na ako ng Manila bukas. At least doon marami akong matatapos na deadline. Dun ko na lang rin tatapusin yung presentation, then email ko na lang sa iyo kapag okay na. I can take the first bus trip tomorrow morning," Emily said.

"I told you we will work on that presentation together," Gabriel said.

"Hello .... Patapos na po ang araw pero wala pa po tayong nauumpisahang trabaho," Emily said.

"I still believe that it would be better if we work on it together. Kanina lang you were ranting about working with me in miles distance. Ngayon naman you want to work on that presentation na hindi kasama ang boss mo, I thought you hate inconsistency," Gabriel uttered.

"Excuse me, my Boss is in Manila, he is Don Jose Alcaraz, temporary boss lang kita," Emily quickly uttered.

"It is just the same, ako pa rin ang boss mo sa mga oras na ito. Boss Gab nga ang tawag mo sa akin eh," Gabriel said and obviously enjoyed bullying his temporary EA.

"That's how everybody calls you, hindi lang ako," Emily replied.

"Don't you remember? You promise to call Riel kapag tayong dalawa na lang," Gabriel said.

"Hindi ko maalala," Emily quickly uttered.

"Ang init naman ng ulo mo," Gabriel uttered, smiling naughtily.

"Nakakainit ka kasi ng ulo, Gabriel Alcaraz," Emily fiercely replied.

"I still prefer you call me Riel since tayong dalawa lang naman ang nandito," Gabriel uttered but he only got a smirk from Emily. "I'm sorry na po, Ms. Fernandez. Hindi lang kasi talaga maganda ang pakiramdam ko when I left at nakakapagod talaga yung trip na yun. Also, yung mga concerns mo kasi laging wrong timing. Dumarating in a middle of my meeting so paano ako sasagot agad. Pero okay na ako, I had a good rest kanina," Gabriel casually replied.

"PAGOD??? Ang tindi naman ng pagod na yan, simula dumating ka sa North Carolina, hanggang makauwi ka ng Pilipinas kanina pagod ka pa rin, at konting tulog lang dito sa resthouse ng mga Imperial okay ka na agad?" Emily again bursted.

"Napakasungit naman talaga," Gabriel casually replied. "Wag ka nang magalit at baka hindi ko pa maibigay yung pasalubong ko sa iyo kasi sinusungitan mo 'ko," he added.

"Sa iyo na 'yang pasalubong mo, hindi ko yan kailangan," Emily said. "Siguradong pagtitripan mo lang ako sa pasalubong eme mo na yan, na lalo ko lang ikakainis malamang," she added.

"Let see about that," Gabriel uttered. "Wait here kukunin ko lang yung pasalubong ko sa iyo," he added and quickly went inside the house.

He came back after a while, holding a box. "Eto ang pasalubong ko sa iyo," he said and puts the box on the table in front of Emily, then he took a chair and sits beside her.

"Ano yan?" Emily asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Open it para malaman mo," Gabriel replied.

"Ikaw magbukas, at baka kung anong kalokohan ang nasa box na yan. Baka kung anong masamang elemento pa ang lumabas dyan pagbukas ko," Emily said.

"Grabe ka sa akin, anong masamang elemento at kelan naman kita niloko?" Gabriel said.

"Nung nagpanggap kang si Riel Del Rosario," Emily quickly replied.

"That does not count, and technically hindi ako nagpanggap na si Riel Del Rosario kasi ako naman talaga si Riel Del Rosario. Atsaka hindi mo rin naman inamin sa akin na magkapatid kayo ni Elizabeth so it's a tie," Gabriel uttered and gains a sharp stare from Emily but he just chuckles at her gesture. "What are you waiting for? Buksan mo na kasi," he said.

"Ayoko nga, ikaw ang magbukas kung gusto mo. Akala mo siguro hindi ko alam ang ibig sabihin ng mga ganyang ngiti mo na nakakaloko," Emily fiercely uttered.

Gabriel shook his head and took the box, "Ilang linggo lang akong nawala, nahawa ka na sa kapatid mo nang kaartehan," he uttered while opening the box. "Here pinaghirapan kong kunin sa North Carolina 'to," he said.

Emily raises an eyebrow when Gabriel handed her a book entitled 'The Notebook'. "Hiyang-hiya naman ako sa iyo at pinaghirapan mo pang kunin yan sa North Carolina, samantalang halos lahat ng bookstrore dito sa Pilipinas meron nyan. Siguradong akong meron din nyan ang DBS,"she sarcastically said.

Gabriel again chuckles while he opens the book and shows the page where an authograph of the author is on it. "Walang tinda ang DSB ng ganitong libro na may autograph ni Nicholas Sparks. At tutoong pirma ni Nicholas Sparks at hindi lang pirma, may dedication din," Gabriel said, bragging.

Emily fiercely looks at Gabriel and doubtfully uttered, "walang stir? Si Nicholas Sparks talaga pumirma nyan?"

"Sabi ko na nga ba eh hindi ka maniniwala, pinirmahan nya yan sa harap ko, look nagbakat yung pen nya sa next page. And para talagang maniwala ka, here is our picture habang pinipirmahan nya yung book," Gabriel said while he shows her a picture from his phone.

Emily's eyes widens upon confirming the authenticity of the authograph. She quickly grabs the book and reads the dedication out loud. "Dear Emily, Thank you for supporting my works, I hope to meet you soon. Much love, Nicholas Sparks," she then suddenly wraps her arms around Gabriel for a hug showing her gratitude. "It's real, thank you, Riel," she uttered while sobbing.

"You're welcome," Gabriel gladly replied and hugs her back and they stay as is for a little while.

"Grabe pangarap ko 'to eh," Emily uttered and her tears nevers stops streaming on her cheeks.

"I know," Gabriel said while he wipes her tears with his bare hands.

"Ang galing mo naman, how did you do this?" Emily asked.

"Charry helped me," Gabriel said and there was an abrupt change of mood in Emily.
