Gabriel and Emily arrived at the Alcaraz mansion in time for dinner, Franco is already having dinner with the Chairman when they reach the dining area. It was Franco who notices the different glow in his brother and he could not control himself to subtly comments about it, when Gabriel unconsciously sits on Yago's usual spot which is beside Emily.
"Ang aliwalas ng mukha mo, Kuya, mukhang hiyang ka sa Bicol ah," Franco uttered.
"Masarap kasi ang hangin sa probinsya," Gabriel replied while still unconsciously puts food on Emily's plate before his and Franco discreetly smiles at the gesture.
"Tingin ko nga, Kuya, in three days na nasa Bicol kayo, parang tumaba si Emily. Mukhang asikasong-asikaso mo at nadala mo pa hanggang dito," Franco uttered and that is the only time the Gabriel realized what he did.
"Chary and Edmond will be at the JAGC Anniversary tomorrow, Lolo," Gabriel said to sway the topic.
"That's good to hear, how about Melchor and Carmen?" Don Jose asked.
"They beg off, sobrang busy sila ngayon," Gabriel replied.
"It's all right, at least Chary and Edmond can come. Remind me to instruct Norma tomorrow para ipasundo ko na lang sila, para hindi na sila magbyahe ng 10 hours," Don Jose said.
"I already arranged it, Lolo. Susunduin sila sa Bicol tomorrow afternoon," Gabriel said.
"That's good, mabuti naman at naisip mong ipasundo sila," Don Jose said.
"I have to do it, Lolo, kasi si Charry halos ayaw pakawalan si Emily. She wants us to extend our stay for another night," Gabriel said.
"You could have extended your stay para sabay na kayong bumalik dito sa Manila," Don Jose commented.
"Ayokong ma-stress sa pagmamadali, Lolo," Gabriel said.
"Are we all set for tomorrow, Emily?" Don Jose asked.
"Yes we are, Mr. Chairman. I already talked to Norma before we leave Bicol and okay na daw po lahat," Emily replied.
"Ready ka na rin ba sa speech mo?" Don Jose kidded but Emily takes it seriously
"Speech po? Wala pong sinabi si Grace, di po ba ipapakilala lang kami as the new breed of authors ng JAPC? Bakit po may speech?" she asked and Franco bursted with laughter.
"What's funny, Francisco?" Gabriel asked as if he was the one offended by Franco's abrupt laughter.
"I can't believe na naniwala ka kay Lolo, Emily," Franco uttered and deliberately ignoring his brother.
"Tama si Franco, nagbibiro lang ako, hija. Did I give you a fright?" Don Jose asked, naughtily smiling.
"A little bit, Mr. Chairman," Emily honestly uttered.
"I'm sorry, hija, I am just kidding," Don Jose said. "By the way, Gabriel, kayo na muna ang bahala sa mga bisita bukas. I have to leave early, 11pm ang flight ko going to Thailand," Don Jose said.
"I thought hindi ka na tutuloy sa Thailand, Lolo," Franco asked.
"I changed my mind," Don Jose uttered. "I have specific instruction na dapat mag-umpisa nang maaga yung party, kaya hindi kayo pwedeng ma-late. Sabihan mo si Yago, Emily, tell him that he needs to be at the party before it starts, ayoko ng dramatic entrance," Don Jose firmly uttered.
"I will tell him that, Mr. Chairman," Emily uttered.
"No, I will tell him that," Gabriel firmly said.
"Sigurado ka, Kuya?" Franco surprisedly asked.
"Hindi ba pwedeng ako ang magbigay ng instruction kay Yago? Should it always be Emily?" Gabriel asked.
