51 - Her Explanation

Elizabeth literally froze few feet away from Emily, Nanay Anna and Gabriel as she is not expecting to see the later with her sister.

"Gabriel what are you doing here?" Elizabeth asked.

"Should I be the one asked what you are doing here, Chef Elizabeth?" Gabriel replied.

"Sya ang naghatid sa akin dito, kasi hindi ako makapag-book ng ride," Emily uttered.

"You are supposed to meet Riel, Ate," Elizabeth said. "Don't tell me hindi sya nagpakagentleman at hinayaan ka lang," she added.

"Lizzie, Gabriel is Riel de Rosario," Emily said.

Elizabeth got mum for a while and switches her glance between Gabriel and Emily before she uttered, "Tangna, seryoso ba yan?"

"Elizabeth, hindi mo kailangang magmura," Nanay Anna uttered. "Hindi ko naiintindihan ang pinag-uusapan nyo pero ang tatay nyo ang mas importante ngayon," she added.

"Ako rin po Mrs. Fernandez, hindi ko naiintindihan, that's why I am staying," Gabriel said.

"You don't need to stay, Boss Gab. Magpapaliwanag ako after kong masiguro na okay na ang lagay ng tatay ko," Emily said.

"Then let's all wait until we are certain na okay na sya," Gabriel said.

"Hindi mo ito kailangang gawin, Boss Gab," Emily said.

"Pero gusto kong gawin, kesa naman maaksidente ako kasi hindi ako magkapag-focus kakaisip on this sudden revelation," Gabriel said.

"Pwede na ba nating puntahan ang tatay nyo?" Nanay Anna asked.

"Sige po, Nay, halika na po, tingnan natin kung pwede nang maka-usap yung doctor ni Tatay," Elizabeth said, and she walks towards the emergency room with Nanay Anna, leaving Emily tossing between following them or staying with Gabriel.

"Boss Gab, can you please just let me explain kapag okay na ang tatay ko?" Emily calmly asked.

"That is what I am doing now, Emily. Willing akong hintayin kung kelan magiging okay ang father mo. And as soon as we are certain that he is out of danger, that is the only time that I will demand for an explanation," Gabriel uttered.

Emily releases a deep sigh as she sees Gabriel's determination. "I'm sorry, I have to keep from you my relationship with Elizabeth, I have reasons," she uttered in surrender.

"Apologize, later. Let's prioritize your father's condition. I'll just wait here. Go ahead, sundan mo na ang Nanay mo at ang kapatid mo," Gabriel coldly replied, stressing on the word 'kapatid mo', and Emily got no choice but to follow Elizabeth and Nanay Anna while Gabriel watches her walks away.

Gabriel stayed at the visitor's lounge. While he waits for Emily and her family, he could not control himself to think on Emily identity. In any of his talk with Don Lino and even with Elizabeth, there was no mention about Elizabeth having an older sister. "How are they become siblings if she is not related to Lolo Lino?" is one of the questions in his mind.

"That explains why Emily can easily tame Elizabeth. That is the reason why Elizabeth seems to be very comfortable with Emily," are in his thoughts as he started to connect the dots.

It only takes few minutes when Gabriel sees Emily walks towards the visitor's lounge. "Okay na raw si Tatay, no need to admit him. Pwede na namin syang iuwi," Emily told Gabriel.

"Good to hear that," Gabriel coldly uttered.

"We are just waiting for the doctor's prescription, then we can go home," Emily added. "There is coffee shop nearby, gusto mong magkape?" she asked.
