64 - Yes or No

Emily is dumbfounded while she looks straight to Gabriel's eyes,  gauging the truthfulness of his statement. She only hopes for him to like her like she does, but she could not believe seeing him down on his knees, proposing and declaring his love for her. This guy never fails to give her a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Right now, she could not think straight. She is not prepared for this, as she does not see this coming. She does not know how to answer Gabriel's proposal. Her mind says 'No' and wait a little, while her heart screams a big 'Yes'.

"Why me?" are the only words that come out from her mouth after a long while.

"Why not you?" Gabriel replied back.

"Pwede ba maupo ka muna, at pag-usapan natin ito nang masinsinan," Emily said. "Hindi ako makahinga sa mga pasabog mo," she added.

"Do you like the surprise?" Gabriel asked, smiling sweetly.

"I do," Emily quickly replied.

"So it's a 'Yes'," Gabriel abruptly uttered.

"No! ... I mean yes, I like the surprise except the last part of the video," Emily said. "I did not see it coming. Ano yun paggising mo isang umaga in-love ka na agad sa akin at gusto mo na akong pakasalan? Naka-drugs ka ba? Why is this so sudden, Riel?" she added.

"Ang daming tanong ah, but I am willing to answer it one-by-one. First, hindi naman paggising ko isang umaga, biglang in-love na agad ako sa iyo. I did not fall in love with you abruptly, Emily. Dumaan din naman ako sa crush, I got a crush on you when I first saw you in the mansion. Those expressive eyes got me at first stare. However, I got very frustrated when I thought girlfriend ka ni Lolo, kasi sobrang special ang treatment nya sa iyo. I saw how fond he is on you. Kaya nagsusungit ako sa iyo, plus, you got very close with my brothers while you distant yourself to me," Gabriel started explaining.

"Sobrang sungit mo nga kasi, that was why I had no other choice but to distant myself to you," Emily uttered.

"But when I started working with you, I begin to admire you because I get to learn more about you. And that admiration deepens when I learned that you and TheLostGirl is one in the same person," Gabriel revealed. "I could not comprehend how you can do multi-tasking tasks?" he added.

"I did not grow up with a comfortable life, Riel. All of us in the family needs to work to survive," Emily said.

"I know that, kaya nga admirable eh," Gabriel replied. "Then we became friends and the best part of it is, we became close friends. Never in my entire life that I felt so complete each time na kasama kita. For two weeks that I was away, I missed you terribly but I have to endure it because I have to wait for the availability of Nicholas," he further said.

"You went to North Carolina just to get an authograph from him for me?" Emily asked.

"Well it was an abrupt business trip talaga. I already closed the deal when that chance of meeting Nicholas came. When the chance of getting that autograph came I did not think twice, I just grabbed it. Sayang kasi yung chance, that's why I extended my stay for another three days," Gabriel said.

"I remember how worried Franco and the Chairman was. Hindi kasi nila sigurado kung aabot ka sa anniversary celebration ng JAGC," Emily said.

"I will not miss it for the world because I want to see you fulfil your dream," Gabriel uttered. "Ang tutoo naiisip ko na yan eh. Sabi ko kapag hindi ko nakuha ang autograph ni Nicholas within that three days, hahayaan ko na lang. Mas gusto kong makita kang inaabot ang pangarap mo and that authograph is just a bonus," he added.

"Na-touch ako," Emily uttered and she gains a victorious smile from Gabriel. "Are you saying na hindi abrupt yung proposal? You planned it?" Emily asked.
