76 - Her Fiancé

She felt her feet are nailed on the ground upon seeing someone very familiar standing few steps at the exit. She never anticipated that she'll see him in a coliseum as she knows her ex-fiancé is not a basketball fan. "Si Clint, Ate," she heard her sister uttered.

"Where?" Gabriel quickly asked.

"The guy standing at the exit door, the one wearing a blue shirt," Elizabeth replied.

"Dun na lang tayo sa kabilang exit dumaan," Emily uttered.

"Too late, Ate, nakita na nya tayo," Elizabeth replied upon seeing Clint walks towards them.

Emily tightly hold Gabriel's hand as if saying not to let go and Gabriel easily got the message as he wraps his arms around Emily's waist to make her feel that he will do everything to protect her.

"I know it's you, Emily," Clint said while approaching them. "Ang tagal na kitang hinahanap," he added then his eyes capture Gabriel's arms around Emily's waist.

"What for?" Emily uttered.

"Can we talk, please," Clint asked.

"There is nothing to talk about, Clint. Hindi naman ako basta umalis na hindi mo alam ang dahilan ng pag-alis ko," Emily said.

"Please, Emily, let's talk to clear things out," Clint uttered.

"Clear things out? Hindi pa ba malinaw sa iyo why I runaway?" Emily asked.

"Not here, Emily, let's talk about it privately," Clint said.

"You may say what you want to say here, Mister, hindi naman kailangan mag-usap pa kayo privately," Gabriel firmly uttered.

"And who are you?" Clint asked.

"He is Gabriel, Gabriel Alcaraz, my fiancé," Emily said.

"I am your fiancé, Emily," Clint confidently uttered.

"You were my fiancé, Clint, but not anymore. After I found out na niloloko mo lang ako sa tingin mo papayag pa akong magpakasal sa iyo? You weren't in love with me then, kaya ka lang naman nagpropose sa akin kasi kailangan ng pamilya mo ang assets ni Don Lino," Emily said.

"That's not true, gusto naman kita talagang pakasalan but not as early as my parents and Lolo Lino wants," Clint said. "Sila ang nagmamadali hindi ako," he added.

"Liar, as if naman hindi ko alam that you also proposed to another girl before you proposed to me," Emily said. "And sa bibig mo na nanggaling, kaya ka napilitang magpropose sa akin kasi diniktahan ka ng parents mo at pati si Don Lino nauto nyo," she further said.

"Can we talk more privately, please, ang daming tao para pag-usapan natin yan dito," Clint said and abruptly grabs Emily's hand but Gabriel is quick to stop him.

"Get your hand off my fiancée," Gabriel fiercely uttered.

"I am her fiancée," Clint uttered

"I am now, hindi mo ba sya narinig?" Gabriel replied.

"Whatever ... come on Emily, we need to talk," Clint said and he is about to forcefully grab Emily when he felt a strong punch on his face that cause Clint to almost kiss the floor.

"I said get your hands off my fiancée," Gabriel uttered. "I know who you are Clinton as well us your family at hindi ako natatakot sa inyo. I will file a restraining order to you and your family to make sure na hindi kayo makakalapit kay Emly. Don't try me, Clinton, I can put you back in jail," Gabriel said.

"Enough, Gabriel, umalis na tayo at pinagtitinginan na tayo ng mga tao. Sa kotse na lang natin hintayin si Yago," Elizabeth said. "At ikaw naman Clinton, tigilan mo na ang Ate ko, hindi nya kayang isalba ang pamilya nyo sa kahihiyang kayo naman ang may gawa. Kayo ang luminis ng kalat nyo, wag nyong idamay ang kapatid ko," she further said.

Emily pulls Gabriel away from Clint, though she is trembling she can feel how Gabriel is shaking because of anger.

In the car, Emily got worried seeing Gabriel still clenching his fist and gritting his teeth in anger. This is the first time she saw him this mad and she has to admit that it does scare her. "Bukas na bukas, we will file a restraining order kay Clint at sa pamilya nila," Gabriel fiercely uttered.

"Yes, we will do that so please calmdown," Emily replied. "And thank you for protecting me," she added.

"I will not allow anyone to harm you. Ako muna ang masasaktan bago ikaw," Gabriel uttered.

Emily wraps her arms around Gabriel and said, "I know that, mabuti na lang nandyan ka."

"Call me paranoid, but from now on, hindi ka pwedeng umalis mag-isa, make sure na may kasama ka. We do not know kung ano ang gagawin ng pamilya ni Clint sa iyo kahit pa may TRO na," Gabriel said.

"I will do that," Emily said to appease her fiancée. "From now on, I'll make sure na may kasama ako kapag umaalis ako," she declared.

"That is the reason bakit hindi ka pinipilit ni Lolo na bumalik ng mansion kahit alam nya kung nasaan ka, Ate. That is his way of protecting you. Alam ni Lolo na mas safe ka kung wala ka sa mansion and he said that Lolo Jo can look after you. I'm glad hindi lang si Lolo Jo ang poprotekta sa iyo, Gabriel is also there to protect you, may alalay pang Yago at Franco. And I hate to say this but kampante na ako kasi meron nang taong tutoong nagmamahal sa iyo, Ate," Elizabeth said.

Gabriel froze for a while as he is not expecting to hear such statement from Elizabeth, "So pumapayag ka nang magpakasal kami ng Ate mo?" he could not control himself to ask.

"I did not say that," Elizabeth quickly replied. "Ang usapan natin, papayag lang ako na magpakasal kayo ni Ate kapag sinabi mo kay Lolo Lino that I am not fit to handle his shipping business," she added.

"If I say that, I have to tell a lie. I don't want you to tag me as liar," Gabriel said.

"Problema mo na yun," Elizabeth said, rolling her eyes. "Ano ba naman yang si Yago, napakatagal. Kahit kelan sobrang bagal magbihis," she started ranting.

Gabriel envelopes Emily in his arms and kisses her on her temple, ignoring Elizabeth's rant about Yago. "I love you, and I promise to protect you. Walang pwedeng manakit sa iyo, kahit pa ako," he whispered to her and he then felt Emily's tighter hug. "I love you, too," he heard her replied.
