Gabriel find Elizabeth easy to get along with but at this early he is certain that their interests are different. Since they started their lunch, Elizabeth talks nothing but food and the different places she has been to. He finds her far from his favorite wattpad author whom he could talk to about life and their common interests.
"Hindi ka ba napapagod, Chef? Mukhang nalibot mo na ang buong mundo," Franco asked while Gabriel prefers to remain silent and just listen to the conversation.
"I love traveling, I get to learn different culture and cuisines," Elizabeth uttered.
"Don't you have plan of having your own restaurant? Okay na ba sa iyo ang cooking school?" Franco commented.
"I want to share everything I learned from my trips kaya okay pa ako sa cooking school ko. But I also have plans of building my own restaurant pero nag-iipon pa ako eh," Elizabeth replied.
"Why not ask your grandfather to build that restaurant for you?" Don Jose asked.
"I give her that offer," Don Lino uttered.
"But with condition," Elizabeth uttered while rolling her eyes. "But since I love my, Lolo, I agreed to give it a try," she added.
"Am I correct to assume that you already agreed to be trained by Gabriel?" Don Jose asked.
"You are correct, Lolo Jo. It will be a win-win offer for me. Not because I agreed on the training it would mean that I will manage the shipping business, I can still turndown the offer of my Lolo if ayoko talaga," Elizabeth said.
"But who will take-over in managing the business if you turndown the offer?" Don Jose asked.
"He has no choice but to sell the business," Elizabeth uttered.
"Then why waste your time having your training if you are half-hearted to manage the shipping business?" Gabriel seriously asked.
"I get to learn new things on how to manage a business not necessarily as shipping business, through my training with you, Gabriel," Elizabeth replied.
"That's very smart decision," Franco commented.
"I thought that, too," Elizabeth said, laughing. "I'm sorry, Lolo, pero love mo naman ako eh,"
"Yes, that was a smart decision but selfish," Gabriel commented.
"I beg your pardon, Gabriel," Elizabeth said.
"I said, selfish ka. If you really don't want to handle the shipping business in the future, why waste your time and my time to have the training. May cooking school ka naman pala eh, why not start training yourself?" Gabriel asked.
"Gabriel!" Don Jose uttered.
"I'm sorry, Lolo, but I am giving her my first lesson. I want Elizabeth to understand that all things are not about her and her advantage. I don't think she will be an effective leader if she is insensitive and thinks only about herself," Gabriel said.
"How dare you call me selfish," Elizabeth said while throwing a sharp stare at Gabriel.
"Pardon me if I offended you, Elizabeth. But that is my impression on you," Gabriel said. "Sigurado ka bang itutuloy pa natin ito, Lolo Lino?" he asked the old man.
"I understand your point, Gabriel," Lolo Lino said.
"Please let's be clear, Lolo Lino. I am not saying that I don't want to train your granddaughter. My only point here is, we should be working together and hindi lang ang mga gusto nya ang masusunod. There are certain schedules that we need to follow," Gabriel said.
"Schedules? But I have scheduled trips in the coming months," Elizabeth said.
"You really are insensitive, Elizabeth. Tanong ko lang, yung mga students mo sa cooking class, do you adjust your schedule kapag isa sa kanila ang nagsabi na may scheduled trip sya kaya kailangan nyong mag-adjust para sa kanya?" Gabriel asked.
"What are you really trying to say, Gabriel?" Elizabeth asked.
"Ayokong katrabaho ang walang disiplina sa katawan. Let me reiterate, this training will not adjust to you, ikaw ang kailangang mag-adjust. Kung hindi mo kayang gawin yun, ngayon palang sabihin mo na," Gabriel said.
"There will be no local or out-of-town trips for Elizabeth in the next three months, Gabriel, I will assure you with that," Don Lino said.
"You can't be serious, Lolo," Elizabeth objected.
"Yes, I am Elizabeth, I agree with Gabriel, mas dapat na mayroon kayong sundin na schedule para tuloy-tuloy ang learnings mo," Don Lino said.
Elizabeth did not talk anymore. "Such a spoiled brat," are in Gabriel's thought when he sees their lady guest murmuring.
"I'm sorry, I'm late, sana abot pa ako kahit sa dessert man lang," they heard someone said.
"Yago?" Elizabeth exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Should I be the one to ask what you are doing here?" Yago asked.
"I'm a guest. I came here with my Lolo Lino," Elizabeth replied.
"I live here, with my Lolo and siblings," Yago casually replied then sits besides Franco.
"Why?" Elizabeth asked.
"He is my grandson, too, hija. Isa sya sa mga triplets," Don Jose said.
"I know that, Lolo Jo," Elizabeth said.
Pati pala si Yago," Don Jose said.
"But I know that Yago does not want to live here. It's a surprise to see him here," Elizabeth said.
"It seems that you are that close with my brother to know sensitive things like that. Ang alam ko kami lang ang nakakaalam na ayaw ni Yago na tumira dito," Gabriel maliciously uttered.
"We were dating for more than a year before I decided to live here," Yago said and obviously the statement came as a surprise for the two old men.
"Tutoo ba yun, Elizabeth?" Lolo Lino asked.
"Yes, Lolo," Elizabeth briefly replied.
"What causes the break-up?" Don Jose asked.
"We were both busy with our individual stuffs, Lolo Jo. Busy si Yago to make a name in PBA while I was busy building my cooking school. Saka tapos na po yun, wag na nating pag-usapan. I think Yago will not be comfortable talking about our past," Elizabeth replied.
"I don't mind talking about the past, Liz. It was a mutual decision anyway," Yago said.
"Pero mas maganda pa rin kung hindi napag-uusapan," Elizabeth said, and Gabriel discreetly smiles as he knows how to attack Elizabeth if she misbehaves during the training.
"Sabi ni Lolo, maaga kayong umalis ni Emily papuntang Bulacan, bakit late ka nang nakabalik, Yago?" Gabriel then asked.
"Medyo traffic, Kuya," Yago casually replied.
"Who is Emily?" Elizabeth asked.
"She is my Lolo's executive assistant," Gabriel replied while Yago just concentrates on the food on his plate and seems not interested to join the conversation.
"Ang swerte naman ng EA mo, Lolo Jo, pinapahatid mo pa sa bahay," Elizabeth commented.
"I don't see anything wrong with that, specially if she and my brother get along pretty well. Bagay nga sila eh, to the point na pwede silang magkatuluyan," Gabriel uttered which makes Yago quickly chokes.
