35 - Annoyed

It's been almost a week since Emily had a chat with Riel. She just thought that her chatmate got too busy at work and could not get a chance for a small chitchat. She is very thankful that Yago did not accept Tatay Ador's dinner invitation because if he does it would be the end of her drama.

At the moment, Emily enjoys watching Elizabeth catching-up with Tatay Ador and Nanay Anna. She could not longer remember the last time this happened. Truly, Tatay Ador misses his 'Lizzie' very much. His foster father is very fond of her sister. And she sees how happy and proud Tatay Ador is when Elizabeth promises to cook her signature dish for them.

She is about to join them when she heard a notification on her phone. She smiles widely seeing the hang-out message from Riel. "How is my favorite wattpad author?" he asked.

Emily quickly gets inside her room and opens her laptop for a chat with Riel. "I just got back home, medyo traffic kasi," she replied.

"Good to know that you are spending your weekend with you family again," Gabriel responded.

"How are you, Riel? It's been a while since the last time we chat," Emily asked.

"Did you miss me?" Gabriel asked in reply.

"Slight 😜," Emily replied.

Gabriel could not prevent himself to feel a little pinch on his chest. He quickly scolded himself for feeling such and reminded himself that Riel and he are one in the same person. It is weird that he is beginning to get jealous on himself.

"I missed you, too," Gabriel replied.

"Mukhang sobrang busy ka ah," Emily commented. "When are you coming back to Manila?" she asked.

Gabriel got a bit confused on Emily's last inquiry but immediately recalls that he told Emily that Riel will be gone for work. "I am not very certain when," Gabriel responded.

"Let me kung kelan balik mo, inaamag na 'tong budget ko sa wallet ko para sa pakape," Emily replied.

"Sorry again, na-cancel yung coffee date natin," Gabriel responded.

"It's all right," Emily replied.

"How's work?" Gabriel asked even he knows.

"Okay lang, kahit may dalawang nilalang akong inaalagaan since nung Monday," Emily replied.

"What do you mean? Are they annoying you?" Gabriel asked.

"Not exactly, hindi lang ako sanay na laging may nagtatalo sa harap ko. Si Boss Gab kasi may trainee. I think granddaughter ng bestfriend ni Mr. Chairman," Emily replied.

"I presume she is not a pain in the neck," Gabriel responded.

"Kaloka, yan ang exact description ni Boss Gab sa kanya," Emily responded.

"Maybe she is a brat kaya ganun ang description ni Boss Sungit," Gabriel responded.

"Huy, stop calling Boss Gab as Boss Sungit, I told you hindi naman sya masungit talaga. Mabait si Boss Gab, strikto is the right term. Pareho sila ni Mr. Chairman, strikto sa trabaho pero outside work, maayos naman silang kausap," Emily replied and if she could only see how Gabriel widely smiles. He could not deny that her statement gives him a happy heart.

"Pinagtatanggol mo, siguro crush mo si Boss Sungit," Gabriel responded.

He could not control himself to get excited to know Emily's reply, but he immediately gets dismay upon reading her reply, "I will not answer that, masyadong personal na tanong para sa akin,"

"Nagtatanong lang naman ako," Gabriel responded.

"I know, and I refuse to answer your question," Emily replied.
