Gabriel is all smile while still lying on his bed and reads his conversation with his favorite wattpad author the previous night. It's a Saturday and he is usually gets up late on a weekend. Last night's conversation with his Lily was very light but bring happiness to his heart. After reading her update, he immediately sent her a message for his comment which she quickly acknowledged that started the chat which lasted for more than an hour.
He likes chatting with his Lily, he finds her very sensible and smart. She is the kind of girl whom he will never get tired of conversing with. He could not remove his gaze at her message wherein she agreed to meet him for the coffee that she promised him once she received her cash price and signed her exclusive contract. Finally, he will get to meet his favorite wattpad writer a day after she signs the contract. Excitement is all-over him and it did not stop him from calling Grace to confirm the scheduled date of the contract signing according to Lily.
"Good morning, Boss Gab, what can I do for you?" he heard Grace said from the other line.
"Good morning, Grace, sorry to bother you this early," Gabriel uttered.
"Okay lang, Boss, you don't usually call early morning of a weekend, this is probably important," Grace uttered, and her statement hits him a bit as he does not realize he is calling her on a weekend which is unlikely.
He got mum for a while to think of an acceptable alibi to Grace, "Pasensya ka na, I am thinking of going on a trip anytime next week, I would like to know kung kelan ang contract signing ng mga JACP contest winners, para tamaan ng schedule ko eh," he uttered his lame alibi and he hopes Grace will buy it.
"Boss, you may proceed your trip, isn't it that we agreed na ako at si Attorney lang ang present sa contract signing since most of the winners prefers to hide their identity," Grace said.
"Oo nga pala, I forgot about that," Gabriel said. "Kelan na nga yung contract signing?" he insisted asking the information he needs.
"Sa Wednesday na, Boss Gab. Sabi ni Atty. Sarmiento ready na daw ang mga contracts. All we have to do is to have it signed by the winners," Grace said.
"Very well, thanks for the information, Grace," Gabriel uttered.
"You are welcome, Boss Gab. I'm glad you thought of having a break, you deserve that," Grace commented.
"Thanks, Grace," Gabriel uttered before he hangs up.
After confirming the schedule of the contract signing, Gabriel's excitement soars high. In a few days, he will get a face-to-face with the girl she adores despite not seeing her personally yet.
A lot of questions are forming in Gabriel's mind. He knows very few information about Lily, and he intends to know more about her. He started imagining how would they look like once they see each other for the first time and that day dreaming was interrupted with knocks at his door.
"Boss Gab, gising ka na ba?" he heard Sonia asked. "Pinapagising ka na ni Chairman, maghanda ka na raw para sa mga bisita natin ngayong pananghalian," Sonia added.
Gabriel closed his eyes as he forgot that his Lolo Lino and his granddaughter Elizabeth will be joining them for lunch today. "Sige Manang Sonia, bababa na ko," he uttered.
He had no choice but to stop daydreaming and get up to take his late breakfast then eventually prepare for their special guests. He is also curious about this Elizabeth Ricardo whom he will train to run her grandfather's shipping line business. He wonders what kind of a lady Elizabeth is. Is she as sensible as Lily or a brat that will give him headache once the training starts?
Don Jose is reading his daily newspaper when Gabriel came down. "Good morning, Lolo. Mukhangfiniwan ka na ng mga kasabay mo sa breakfast, Lolo?" he asked.
