Life changes.

Help.

I wake up but keep my eyes closed. I am in so much pain. I groan. "Alex." I wait a few seconds and hear, "What's wrong?" I know that voice. That's not Alex. I open my eyes and see Austin staring at me with worry, sadness and guilt. I go to sit up but he places a soft hand on my shoulder to keep me down. "What? You are supposed to be on tour. What are you doing here?" He smiles, "Did you really think I would not be here for you. You need me now more than ever. I told Jimmy I wanted to come home right away but I had to do my concert before I could. I canceled my concerts until you are better.”I raise my eyebrows. “You didn't have to do that. Alex could have taken care of me." Austin shakes his head, "you’re my fiancée. Alex has done a lot in the past but it's not his job. I know he cares and he would have done it no question but I needed to be here.”

 I smile at him. "When did you get in?" He laughed, "This morning." I look at him," How long have I been out?" He looks at the clock, "Alex said you slept right through dinner last night and we'll its two now so.” I look at him shocked. “I basically slept a whole day?" He nods. "Yeah Alex said he will come see you before he leaves." I nod. "Ally, you woke needing Alex. What do you need? What's wrong?" I start to laugh because I forgot how much pain I am in," My pill." Austin opens the bottle and hands me what I take and then water. I lay down and watch him as he watches me. "How were the kids after it all?" I shrug, “scared.They didn't know what was going on. You know their ears had to hurt and I had a horrible headache so I bet they had pain in their head and they don't know what is happening just that they are in pain and scared and I wasn't there to comfort them. “He looks at me," Alex said they woke up at dinner ready time ready to eat. They were hungry and ready to eat. Then they played a little bit before going to bed again." I smile a little, “That good I was worried about them more than anything." Austin sit's up and stares at me, "Ally you were hurt bad. I freaked out when I saw you. Alex had to calm me down. I started crying because I felt horrible started not being able to protect you from this. I am glad the kids were not hurt but I love you ally and I hate seeing you like this. I can't wait to you better and get my feisty say what she wants fiancée back.”I lay down and let the medicine slowly take the pain away.

Waking up I look over and see Austin asleep next to me. He looks so peaceful. Slowly sitting up I winch at the pain. I turn and let my feet hit the floor before taking my good arm and pushing off the bed. Groaning at the pain coursing through my body, I slowly make my way to the bathroom.  

Looking into the mirror I winch. No wonder Austin freaked out when he saw me. Bruises the color of green, purple, and blue have formed on one side of my face, making a sickly color.  My hair is a mess with dried blood in it. The scrubs I am wearing have dried blood on them from somewhere. Lifting my shirt my abdomen is covered in a sickly purplish blue color. My arm and cast meet with another pretty bruise. Sighing I shake my head. I am lucky, it could have been much worse. 

Walking out of the bedroom I see Austin holding my pillow to his chest. Smiling I walk out of the bedroom and down the hall. I see two nightlights turned on as I pass the kids doors. I slowly walk down the stairs as not to cause any more pain. Turning the corner to the kitchen I see Alex cleaning the table. He turns his head up to me and must of thought I was Austin because the look on his face is shock and worry. He rushes to my side, “What are you doing down here? Are you okay? Where is Austin?” Sitting me in a chair, I laugh. “I am fine, Austin gave me a pill. He is asleep and I got hungry.” Alex shakes his head, “You still shouldn’t of came down.” Sighing I stare at him, “Alex, I am okay. I don’t need to be watched twenty four seven. I can do little things.” Nodding he looks around the kitchen. “So what do we have to eat?” Laughing he looks back at me, “Grilled Chesse, that is what the kids wanted.” Walking over to the stove he brings me over two and sit them down in front of me, “I made extras.”  I start to eat my sandwich as Alex brings me over a drink.

I watch as Alex walks around and does little things here and there. I shake my head and finish my food. Once down I slowly stand up to take the plate to the sink. “What do you think you are doing?” Alex is in front of me and staring sternly. I start to speak when he shakes his head. He slowly pushes me back in my sit and takes the plate in the process. I hear the plate hit with a clink, “I could of did that.” He turns back to me leaning against the sink as he throws the rag in, “I don’t care. You got hurt and you shouldn’t be doing a lot. You need to rest and relax.”

Crossing my arms the best I can because it doesn’t work well with a cast I narrow my eyes at him, “I’m not a baby.” He sighs and pushes away from the sink as he makes his way to me, “I never said you were. I said you need to rest and relax. You don’t need to be walking around and doing a lot right now. Let your rib heal then you can do whatever you want.” I sigh but nod, “Fine. I know I won’t win anyway. You and Austin I am screwed.” Laughing he nods, “Yes you are sweetheart.” Bending down he wraps an arm around waist and one behind my knees as he stands up and carries me upstairs bridal style.

I hear the door creak as he pushes it open with his foot. Turning he walks me in sideways and looks at a sleeping Austin. “He must be tired.” I nod against his chest, “He probably was up all night from the concert and trying to get here.” Alex nods and lays me in bed and kisses my forehead, “You need anything?” I nod and look over at Austin, “I want this blood off of me.” Alex sighs and runs a finger through his hair, “I did the best I could with a rag.” I nod, “I appreciate it but I want out of these scrubs with blood on them and I want the blood out of my hair.” Sighing he looks at the ground. Running a hand through his hair he looks up at me, “Ally you can’t take a shower yet.” I nod, “I know.” He looks at me, “Then what are you saying.” I look at Austin who is asleep, I know he won’t be up soon and I want to feel clean. “I want you to help me with a bath.”

I hope you like it. Sorry it took so long, School got crazy and my uncle, his girlfriend and his two dogs came to visit. It has been crazy. I wrote this chapter once before and lost it. So anyway hope you like it.
