Life changes.

Doctor and family time.

I wake up and get a shower before getting dressed. The twins are six weeks old today. Their little personalities are starting to show through. They are doing great. They are now in their own room downstairs and are pretty much sleeping through the night now. Aubrey is doing much better with her big bed. The nightmares are happening less and less. She kind of likes her princess bed now. Aiden is doing great now. He is walking better and talking more.

I walk downstairs after getting dressed and watch the kids as they watch their show. I walk into the twins room and see them sleeping still. They woke up in the middle of night and it took them a while before they went back to sleep. I pull the door up and walk into the living room and sit down on the couch and grab my phone. My phone starts to go off and i look down seeing a notification notifing me of my checkup today. i sigh and swipe it away and hit the phone button and call Hanna. "Hanna?" I hear laughter, "Yes Ally?" I laugh and look down at the kids, "Can you watch the kids for like an hour? i have a doctors appointment i forgot about." I hear a sigh, "Ally, i'm sorry, i can't. I have a doctors appointment today too." I nod and look down, "That's okay. i understand." she sighs, "I would reschedule if i could. it's just i really cant." I smile, "It's okay. i totally understand. i can get a hold of Austin or reschedule. It's no big deal." I say goodbye to her and hit the end button.

I look down at my phone and sigh. Austin has class everyday during the week. My classes are online this semester. I open up the text messenger and write him a quick text.

                                 hey, i forgot about my checkup today. is there any way you can home for like an hour?

I sit there and watch the television show with the kids. i hear my phone go off. i look down and open the text.

                                        sorry baby. i have class for the next three hours. i can't i have a test in two of them.

I look over at the kids and nod before typing back a reply.

                                                                                it's okay. i will reschedule good luck on your tests.

I lean back on the couch and watch the television. My phone goes off again and i see the notification one last time pop up. My appointment was at 10:30. i decide i will call them in a few to reschedule.

i hear a knock on the door and look at the kids eating their snacks before getting up and opening the door. I smile, "What are you doing here?" Alex laughs and puts his hands out, "Hanna called me freaking out." I move and let him in. "What was she freaking out about?" He laughs and looks at me, "Well her exact words were, 'Oh my god. oh my god. what should i do? what can i do? I have to go to the doctors and so does Ally. Oh my god. oh my god. i should reschedule, right? but i already have twice. oh my god.' To stop the freakout i mentioned i was free and could come over for an hour. She squealed and begged me to please do it. In other words i have homemade dinner coming my way." I laugh and look at him, "She is amazing, but it is fine. I can just reschedule for when Austin or Hanna can watch them." He shakes his head, "Nope. i am already here. Go get checked out and i will watch the four little ones." I look at him, "Are you sure?" He nods, "Of course." i smile and hug him, "Thank you so much." He laughs, "Plus if i don't help i dont get the food." I pull away and slap him. He laughs making me laugh as well. Aubrey comes running around the corner, "Uncle Alex." He looks at me and smiles before picking her up, "Hey Sweetie." He hugs her and she kisses his cheek. "What you doin?" I laugh and watch him look at her, "Well i am going to watch you and your brothers while your mommy goes to the doctor. If that is okay with you, of course?" She smiles wide, "Yes." I laugh and watch him put her down. he looks at me and smiles, "She can say my name great now." I nod, "They are both speaking great." He nods and pushes me some, "Go do what you gotta do. i got this." I look at the clock and see it is ten. "I will be back in an hour." He nods and walks around the corner before i hear a squeal come from Aiden. i laugh before grabbing my keys and walking out the door.
