It's been a couple weeks since Aiden's birthday. I haven't felt good at all. Austin is starting to figure out something isn't right with me. I haven't told him anything and I haven't let on that anything is wrong. Aiden is happy playing with all his new stuff and Aubrey is wondering when her party is. We keep explaining it's not for a few months and she gets upset and we have to calm her down and then start it all over again.
I lay down on the couch and sigh as the kids watch a movie. Austin is out doing something, I forgot what he said he was doing and where he was going. "Mommy?" I look over at Aiden and smile. "Yes baby?" He holds up a car he got for his birthday and I see he has scratched the side of it up. I smile, "it's okay baby. It's just a scratch nothing to worry about." He looks at his car then at me and smiles before continuing to play with it.
The kids have fallen asleep on the pallet. I lay across the couch more and feel sleepiness creep up on me. I look at the kids below me one last time before I close my eyes and drift off to dream world.

I wake up to a sharp pain. I sit straight up and scream. I hear feet running and they are loud meaning Austin is home. I see him turn the corner with concern written all over his face when I feel liquid between my thighs. I look down and my eyes widen. "Uh...Austin?" He comes into the bedroom which I now realize I am in and looks at me worried. "My water just broke?" His eyes widen and I see the fear in his eyes as he stares at me. "It's too soon. It's not time. They are early." I nod, " Yes they are but they are coming." I feel another sharp pain and bite my lip to keep from screaming too loud. " and they are coming now." He looks at me and starts to pace a second before taking his phone out and typing something before coming over. He grabs the bag beside the bed and slings it around his shoulder. He lays his phone next to me and I see one simple thing typed to two people: 911. "Can you hold the phone?" I nod and he picks me up bridal style as another sharp pain hits and I can't help the scream that comes. He looks at me and I lay my head against his chest.
He starts walking and I feel his movements change as we walk down the steps. We hit the landing and I look around. "Where are the kids?" He looks at me and smiles softly, "Put to bed. It's late." I nod and bite my lip as another contraction hits. He starts to move to the door after he readjusts me in his arm when the door slings open and a very tired and half naked Alex burst through it. "I got the text. I'm here." He is trying to get his breathing under control and I see he has no shoes or socks and is only in a pair of boxers. I laugh and he looks down at himself and starts to laugh as well. I hear tires screeching and then a very exhausted and worried Hanna comes running through the door. "Text...worried...here...help" Austin smiles, "The babies are coming. I need someone here for Aubrey and Aiden. Since you both answered you can both stay here or just one of you or..." I scream out interrupting him as another contraction hits. "You two figure it out." I feel myself moving at a quicker pace and realize that Austin is running to his car.
I am placed in the soft leather seat within seconds. I feel the belt go across me and then the car moving. I close my eyes and focus on breathing as Austin yells and honks his horn like crazy. Within minutes I am being picked up out of the comfy seat and carried. "Help. My fiancée is in labor." I see a nice looking man and women come over. "How far along?" "Right at eight months." I am being placed on a gurney and wheeled away with Austin holding my hand as the doctor and nurse start talking. I hear Austin speak up, "she is pregnant with twins." I see someone hover above me and nod. "How far along are the contractions?" I hear a sigh, "every few minutes. Her water broke at the most ten minutes before I got here and she had probably three or four contractions since then." The doctor nods, "Lets get her in the room." I feel the bed hit a door and a few minutes later I am in a room and being hooked up to machines.
I feel another sharp pain and try to bite my lip but it doesn't help the scream that comes. I hear a doctor being paged and then the door opening a few minutes later to see Dr. Harper. "Hi Ally and Austin." She smiles and comes over after putting gloves on. "Let's see what is going on." She lifts the blanket they have over me and I realize I have been put in a hospital gown and switched over to a bed already. I am spacing. Doctor Harper places the blanket back down and smiles. "You are almost ready to give birth to your twins." I look at her shocked. "How? I haven't been in labor long." She laughs, "oh honey, you have been in it for awhile. You realized it when it got strong and your water broke but you have been in labor long enough and your body and the babies are ready for this." I watch the other doctor get ready and smile. "You ready to see you bundles of joy, Miss. Dawson?" I already feel tired but nod.
A few minutes later my legs are up and Dr. Harper and this new doctor who I found out is her student named Dr. William are both in position and ready to go. Dr. Harper looks up at me with a smile, "On the next contraction, I need you to push Ally." I nod and when I feel the sharp pain hit I scream and grab Austin's hand as I push with everything I have. "Okay, stop." I lay back and relax for a second. "Okay, push." I push with everything I have again. "Okay, stop." I lay back against the pillow again. This goes on for a little bit and then I hear Dr. Harper, "One more push and we have the first one." I push and then hear the cries take over the room bringing a smile to my face. I watch the nurse take him away and pull Austin from me to cut the cord. They bring him over and let me see him. I smile and rub his little chest, "Hi baby." I kiss his head and watch the nurse take him to clean him up.
I see Doctor Harper smile at me, "We aren't done yet." I nod and take the time to relax, "I need you to push." I nod and start the routine all over again. A few minutes in, I try to catch my breath. "Okay push." I push with everything I have. "Stop. Ally, Stop." I stop and I see them rushing and talking. I look at Austin and he looks back at me confused. "Is...Is something wrong?" Dr. Harper looks up at me, "I don't need you to worry, but the cord is wrapped around the neck. I need to..." I zone out and don't hear anything after that. This is not good. The cord is wrapped around my baby's neck. I see Austin's face in front of mine. "Ally." "Ally." I shake my head and look at him, "We need you to push." I look at him and shake my head, "No." He sighs and grabs both my hands. "You have to push now. Right now." I look at him and don't want to push. I hear Dr. Harper, "Ally, now!" I look into Austin's eyes and push with everything I have. "Okay, good." A couple more pushes and the nurse and Dr. Harper walk away with my baby. I look at Austin and start to cry. I see Dr. Harper working on him. Dr. William walks over and says something and she nods and I hear, "I know." I turn my head on the pillow and look at the wall as I cry. All of a sudden I hear a shrill cry take over the room. I turn my head and see the baby crying. I smile at him. Austin grabs my hand and kisses it as I see he was crying too. The nurse brings the baby over and I hold him. "You gave us a scare little one." I smile through the tears and lean in and kiss his head before the nurse takes him to clean him up.
Dr. Harper comes back over and fixes me up. I am transferred to another bed and she helps Austin tuck me in. She smiles and throws her gloves in the glove disposal, "Congratulations you too. They are both very handsome. Ally, you did amazing." She pats my leg, "Get some rest sweetie." I smile lazily and watch her and Dr. William walk out of the room. I feel my eyes closing. I yawn and feel a kiss on my head, "You did great." I smile lazily, "Thank you." I hear the door open and look up to see two nurses wheeling two beds. "Hey, I thought you would want to see these two before you fall asleep." I smile and nod. I watch as the nurse places one baby in one arm and the other nurse places the other baby in my other arm. I smile down at my two sleeping babies. "I love you both very much." I kiss both their heads. I watch the nurse smile, "When you get a chance, we need the names." I nod, "Asher Moon." I smile at his little face and turn to the other baby, "Adam Moon." I look at Austin, "Or Ashton Moon." I yawn and watch the nurse hand one baby to Austin and place one in the bed. "You pick the middle names and decide on that." I lay back and yawn one more time not believing I just gave birth to twins. Austin and I now have twins. I smile lazily and fall asleep as exhaustion hits.
