Life changes.

Big Girl

 Austin walks into the room as I lay on the bed reading. He smiles at me, "Get dressed." I look at him confused. "What?" He laughs, "Just get ready." I get up and put on a pair of stretchy jeans and a stretchy shirt. I pull my hair into a side fishtail braid. I grab my sunglasses and phone before going downstairs to see Hanna. I smile and hug her. She laughs, "I missed you too Ally." I smile and she lets go. She smiles wide, "Wow, you are getting bigger." I smile and nod, "Yeah. They are growing." She nods, "That is good. You look good." I smile, "Thanks."

 Austin comes down a few minutes later and smiles at Hanna. "Thanks for coming on short notice." She shrugs, "I missed these little ones anyway." I laugh and she runs after Aubrey and starts to tickle her. I laugh and Austin grabs my hand, "Come on." We start walking to the door, "We will be back in a few hours Hanna." I hear a distant, "Have fun."

We walk to his car and he yawns as he opens my door and places a hand on my back as I climb into the car. He closes the door and walks around to his side before getting in and starting the car. He turns on the radio and backs out of the drive way. A few minutes later he pulls into the shopping center and parks the car.

He turns to me and smiles. "Come on." He gets out and comes around and grabs my hand as I climb out. He holds my hand as we walk towards the stores. He pulls me into Babies R' Us and Toys R' Us. I look up at him, "What are we doing here?" He laughs and keeps walking, "Aubrey is getting to big for her crib." I nod, "Yeah, I noticed." He smiles and looks down at me, "I have been thinking about getting her a bed and I figured we should do it together and possibly buy the babies so things as well." I smile and nod, "Sounds great." We walk to the beds and start to look around.

I point out a bed, "This one is so cute." He comes over and looks at it and smiles, "It is." We look around some more and I spot the bed I think she will love. "Austin, this is the one." He comes over and wraps an arm around me, "I think it is." He looks around and walks over to the guy working and they get the box and place it in the cart. Austin looks around and looks back at him, "Can you help us get this crib too?" The guy nods and walks over with Austin to get the crib. Austin pushes the cart and smiles at me. "Why did we get another crib?" He laughs, "Because we have twins on the way and we can use Aubrey's crib but we needed another one." I nod and laugh, "I must of zoned out." We walk around and find a few other things we need.

We pay and carry everything out to the car. Austin opens the trunk and a guy helps him put the boxes in the trunk. Austin thanks him and then we finish loading the rest of the items into the trunk. Austin closes it and takes the cart as I get in the car. He gets in and backs out heading home.

Austin pulls into the driveway and we get out starting to unload the trunk. I grab the car seat and a few bags of clothes and make my way into the house. I place them down and turn and head back outside and grab the other car seat and some more bags. I turn and see Alex pull into the driveway. He gets out and smiles. "Here to help." I point to the trunk and he laughs and heads there and him and Austin each grab a side and walk into the house as I follow them. They walk back out and grab the last box and walk in and set it down. Austin goes out and comes back with the last of the bags and closes the door. "Now what we need to do, is decide if we should put the twins down here or move Aubrey down here." I look around and sigh, "I don't know. I want them all near me." He laughs, "This house is not like the other one. We don't have that much room." I sigh and look at him, "I guess since Aubrey is older and the twins will need more care and be up more. It makes since to move them." He nods and they grab the box and take it up the stairs. A few minutes later they come back down and take the other box to the guest bedroom.

 Austin comes out and looks at me. "Should we just set her bed up upstairs and let her be there or move her and her things down here and let her get use to it." I sigh and sit down on the couch. "I don't know. I don't want her moved yet but it might be good if she could get use to it. I mean I am pretty far along and they said with twins you most likely deliver early." I sigh and look up at him, "I just don't know Austin. I don't want her moved." He sits down and nods, "I know but we have to figure something out." I smile, "What if we have the twins sleep in the same room as us for a little while and then figure it all out." He laughs and looks at me, "We don't have that much room." I nod, "I know." He kisses my cheek and gets up, "I will figure it out. Just relax."

Hanna left a little while ago. Aubrey and Aiden are taking a nap on their pallets. It is starting to get late so I order a pizza. I turn on the television and wait for the pizza to arrive. About a half hour into a show there is a knock on the door and I pause the show and get up to answer the door. I sign the receipt and take the pizza smiling. I set the pizza on the table and pour two drinks. I carry the drinks upstairs and stop in the doorway seeing two frazzled men looking over the instructions. I laugh, "I thought guys don't look at instructions." Alex pushes them away and looks up at me, "We weren't." I laugh and hold out the two glasses. "I bought pizza and figured we could eat while it is hot." They both nod and stand up. Austin stretches and nods, "I could use a break." I laugh and hand them their glasses before heading downstairs with the two of them behind me.

We all sit down and start to put pizza on our plates. "How is it going up there?" They laugh and look at me, "Not well." I shake my head at the unison they have going on. They have gotten closer lately and its nice but weird. I look around them at the kids, "I hope she likes her bed and everything." Austin takes a bite of his food and smiles, "She will." Alex nods, "You just have to word it to her right and make it nice. She will love it." I nod and finish my food. I place my plate in the sink and work on the kids plates. Alex places his plate in the sink and finishes his drink before placing the cup in the sink as well. Austin reaches around me and places his cup and plate in the sink. He kisses my cheek and walks upstairs with Alex. I walk into the living room and wake the kids up to feed them.

Three hours later and lot of princess shows and movies Alex and Austin finally come out. "Aubrey we have something for you." She looks at Austin and smiles wide as she jumps up and runs over to him. She starts to jump up and down, "Me. Me. Me" I laugh and stand up, "Let's go see it." I pick Aiden up and we all walk upstairs. Austin stands in front of the door and smiles at me. He pushes it open and Aubrey walks in and smiles. I see both cribs set up against the far wall. Aubrey has her dresser and everything moved so the cribs would fit. Her new white bed with the headboard like a princess headboard and a tiara in the middle against the wall. Her pink bed spread with little tiaras and the word princess on it is covering her bed. They even put up her new light I bought her that has fake pink crystals hanging from it. Her room looks so nice. I smile and turn around to Austin and smile at him wide. "This is amazing." They smile and lean against the doorframe. "Thank you Austin." He nods and looks at Aubrey. "This is your big girl bed princess." She looks at me and smiles, "I love it." I smile and look back at them. "Will it be okay for the new babies beds to be in here with you for awhile." She nods quickly and walks over to her bed and works on getting in it. Austin laughs and helps her in it. She lays down and smiles wide. "love." I laugh and put Aiden down. He walks over and pulls on the side of the blanket. Austin laughs picks him up, "Not yet baby boy. You will get a big boy bed soon but not yet." He sets him on Aubrey's bed with her and I smile wide as I feel a couple kicks. I place a hand on my stomach and watch my two babies in my baby girls new big girl bed.

Alex left a little while ago and we are getting the kids ready for bed. Austin is putting Aiden to bed as I bath Aubrey. "Come on sweetie." She gets out and we dry her off as we walk to her room to get dressed. She wants to wear her princess pajamas. I get them out and start to dress her.

Austin walks in as I brush her hair. "Are you ready to sleep in your big girl bed?" She nods and Austin picks her up and places her in her bed. I sit on the edge of it and tuck her in. I give her a kiss. "I love you baby." She crosses her arms and pouts, "No baby." I smile and nod, "My bad. I love you my big girl. Sweet dreams." Austin leans in and kisses her, "Goodnight princess. I love you." She smiles and hugs her doll, " Love you. Night." I smile and get up as we turn on her night lights and walk out of the room.

 We walk into our bedroom and with the monitors on we lay down and fall asleep worrying about  Aubrey and her big girl bed.
