Life changes.

Alone

Austin has been out talking with Jimmy and other important people all week long and i am tired. He comes home after i am in bed and leaves before i get up. I have been alone with the kids all week and i am quickly understanding how hard this is going to be when Austin leaves.

I walk into the living room where Aubrey is currently screaming at the top of her lungs. "Aubrey, honey please stop." She shakes her head as tears flow down her face. I sigh and bend down making myself her size, "What is wrong sweetie?" Instead of stopping her screaming to tell me what is wrong she just points at Aiden who is smiling. "What could of Aiden have done baby?" Screaming she points at him like i am suppose to understand. I just don't get it. "Aubrey sweetie, you have to tell me. i can't figure it out." She throws herself on the ground crying and screaming. "Aubrey, honey. What happened?" Not getting anything but a scream in return i get up and walk over to Aiden and pick him up. He looks at me then at Aubrey on the ground confused. I shrug, "I don't know baby." I walk away with him to the kitchen hoping Aubrey is having a tatrum.

About ten minutes later i hear sobs and pick Aiden up off the floor and pop him on my hip as i walk into the living room and see Aubrey sitting up. i put Aiden down with his toys and sit next to Aubrey. "What happened?" She looks at me, "I no like him." i look at her shocked, "Aubrey that is your brother."She shakes her head, "No like. Mean." I look at her again, "What did he do that was so mean?" She points at him, "Pwul hair." I look at her when it hits. Aiden pulled her hair. "Aubrey he didn't mean in it sweetie. He was trying to play with you."She shakes her head, "No." I try to talk with her for a little while later but soon i leave her to do what she wants.

After a while i walk into the living room to see Aubrey curled up with her doll asleep, soft snores coming from her little mouth.I smile and pick her up in my arms and carry her upstairs and put her in her bed. She is getting big and we may have to look at a big girl bed soon. I kiss her forehead and walk back downstairs to see Aiden in his bouncy having a blast. I smile at how sweet he is. Thankfully, i do have two great kids. They don't fuss to much and they are really good with Hanna. They don't mind when Austin and i have to leave and they both like to sleep. I couldn't of asked for better children. I love my babies. Aubrey is a handful sometimes but i love her more than anything and it just proves that she is her fathers daughter.

I am feeding the kids when Austin comes in and Aubrey screams and leaves the table. "Daddy." He bends down and scoops her up and kisses her head, "How was my princess?" She smiles at her nickname, "Good." i roll my eyes and Austin laughs before putting her down. "Go finish dinner and i will put you to bed." She squeals a high pitched delightful sound. i smile and watch her finish her food. Austin comes over and kisses my head, "I have to leave after dinner." i nod and watch him make himself a plate of food and start eating. He talks to Aiden who is trying to talk back. He is so close to his first word. I sometimes wish it would just happen already and then other times i wish it wouldn't because i want to keep my little baby boy.

Austin and Aubrey finish dinner and as he promised Austin takes her upstairs to put her to bed. i call up after them, "I will come tell you goodnight in a minute." I hear screams and giggles followed by little thumps and then loud thumps. I smile at Aiden, "Your father and sister are crazy." He makes this baby giggle that makes me smile wider. "You are so cute, you know that." He gives me a smile that answers my question, he knows how cute he is. Aiden is his fathers son, no denying that.

Austin comes down and kisses Aiden before leaning in and kissing me. "I will be back late baby, don't stay up." i nod and watch him walk away and hear the door shut telling me i am once again alone with the kids.

Putting Aiden in his rocker i walk upstairs and kiss Aubrey, "Goodnight sweetie, i love you." She moves her in sleep and i watch a blonde curl fall in her face. I slowly move in away and smile at her before turning on her night light and walking back downstairs to give Aiden his bottle.

I lean against the couch with Aiden in my arms, a bottle in his mouth and the television on.I laugh at family guy and look down to see Aiden staring at me. i smile, "You will enjoy all of this one day little guy."

Aiden falls asleep in my arms and i take him upstairs to put to bed. He smiles in his sleep a little making me smile more. He is so adorable. i lean down and kiss his forehead and then turn on his nightlight before walking out of his room and downstairs to turn everything off.

When the house is dark and everything is locked up i walk upstairs to get ready for bed. I decide to get a shower before bed. I feel the hot water run over me and i relax instantly. I get out and put on one of my nightgowns before i climb into bed and turn the lamp off. I feel the warmth of the blanket and the softness of my bed and i start to fall asleep with one thought crossing my mind. Its hard being alone with two kids and i hope the tour doesn't last long.
