Life changes.

better

My cast came off today and I am cleared to do whatever I want. I drove myself and left Austin with the kids. Walking out of the doctor’s I feel so free not having my cast anymore.  I hit the button on my keychain and unlock my car. Getting in I sit back and fully enjoy the feel of my new car. It is a little different than the other one but I like the difference.  Starting the car I turn the radio up. I feel great.

On my way home I hear the radio beep and hit the button the steering wheel to answer. “Hello?” “Hey baby.” I smile, “Hey Austin, what’s wrong?” He laughs, “Nothing, I was wondering how the doctors went.” I smile and move my arm around, “Amazing, my cast is off and I am all cleared.” He laughs, “That is good. Aubrey no. ugh, okay.” I turn onto a side street and shake my head, “What is she doing?” “She wants ice cream.” I smile and pull into a drive way and then back out again and turn the car the other way. “On my way to get it now.” He laughs, “Okay see you soon baby.”

After getting the ice cream and a few other things that looked good I check out. I carry the bags to the car. I decide on the way home to stop at the bookstore. After finding a bunch of books that sounded good I check out again and head home.

I turn onto my street and smile. I can’t wait to get a regular shower. I pull into my driveway and can hear Aubrey and Aiden as I open the door of my car. Shaking my head I grab the bags and my wristlet. I use my hip to close the door and make my way up the stairs and into the house. I place the bags down and look around. I sigh and put the ice cream away. I walk outside and see Aubrey running around the yard with a huge smile on her face. Austin is chasing her with Aiden trying to run after them as well.

I smile and watch as Austin finally gets Aubrey and picks her up and spins her making her squeal. I watch them look my way and smile. “Mommy!” Aubrey comes running my way and I bend down and pick her up hugging her, “Hey sweetie.” She gives me a kiss on the cheek, “You better?” I smile and nod, “All better.” She gives me a big hug and then I put her down and take Aiden from Austin. Aiden looks up at me and smiles, “Hi.” I laugh and shake my head, “Hi baby.” He gives me that amazing baby smile that makes his eyes sparkle, “Hi.” I shake my head at his new word and kiss him. I put him down and Austin pulls me into his arms. “You feel better?” I nod, “I couldn’t wait to get that thing off.” He laughs and nods, “I know exactly what you mean.” I smile up at him and he leans down and kisses me. He then picks me up and starts to run with me as I squeal and giggle. “Austin put me down!” “NO!” He runs faster with me in his arms making me giggle. I look behind him and see Aubrey chasing after us. I slap his shoulder, “Put me down.” He looks at me and shakes his head, “Not until I get a kiss.” I smile and lean in kissing him. He puts me back down on the ground and wraps his arms around me as he deepens the kiss. My hand makes its way to his hair and gets tangled in it. Aubrey pulls on my pants, “Mommy.” I pull away and look at her. “Yes baby.” She smiles and put her hands up. Austin picks her up and she hugs both of us. I see Aiden crawling this way and bend down and hold him as Aubrey hugs Austin and I.

Aubrey wanted to play with her dolls when we got back inside. I walked over and sat on the carpet as she hands me a doll and clothes. I smile and watch her dress her own doll and brush her hair. She is getting so big. I smile and watch as Aiden and Austin sit down and get a doll to play with. Aubrey is amazing at sharing with Aiden.

After playing dolls I went and made some dinner. Aubrey sits at the table and eats while I help feed Aiden. Austin sits next to Aubrey and helps her. “Ally?” I look over at Austin, “Yeah?” He smiles, “I was thinking we could do a date night soon.” I nod and smile, “That sounds great but don’t you have to go back on tour soon.” He sighs and looks down, “I have to finish it but because you were down for awhile I only have to be gone like three weeks.” I nod, “Yeah we can do a date night before you leave.” He smiles wide and leans across the table and kisses me. “I can’t wait.” I smile and push him away, “Well unfortunately you have to because we have kids to get ready for bed.” Aubrey starts to whine causing Aiden to cry. Austin and I look at each other and start laughing.

Austin picks Aubrey up and takes her upstairs to get a bath and get ready for bed. I smile at Aiden, “It’s me and you tonight baby.” He smiles wide as I pick him up and take him upstairs to get ready for bed.  After he is wiped down and smells like baby soap I dress him in a cute pair of dinosaur pajamas. I take him downstairs with me to make his bottle. After it is made I start to feed him as we walk back upstairs to his room. Once he is done I burp him. He smiles at me and I start to move a little side to side. A song pops in my head and I start to sing it to him.

Smiling I walk over to his bed and put a now sleeping Aiden to bed. I walk over and turn his nightlight on. I smile at him sleeping and walk out of his room leaving his door cracked. I walk and check on Austin and Aubrey. Aubrey is laying in Austin’s arms and he is singing to her.

Smiling I back away and head into my room but not before hearing Austin kiss Aubrey tell her he loves her.
