Life changes.

Sick day

Alex has been ignoring me completely. He won't call me back or answer his phone. I went to his dorm room and I got no answer. I think I deserve answers but it doesn't look like I will be getting them. Austin has tried calling him too and no answer or return phone call. This whole situation is messed up.

I walk downstairs and see Austin laying on the couch. School started back a few months ago but he has been home sick for the last few days. I walk over and bend down and put my hand on his forehead and feel that he is burning up. I look down at him and put a blanket over him hoping he can just sweat it out. I stand up to go check on the kids in their playroom we made them when I feel a sweaty hand grab my wrist limply. I turn back around and see Austin looking up at me, "Hey, how are you feeling?" He shakes his head and whines a little, "Horrible." I sit on the coffee table and look at him, "Is there anything I can get you?" He shakes his head and I pat his arm, "Feel better baby." I start to walk away when I hear, "But if your going to the kitchen water sounds nice." I smile back at him, "Be right back." I walk into the kitchen and grab him a glass and turn on the facet getting water. I take it back and hand it to him he makes a weird face and I look at him, "What?" He looks at the water then me, "Its not cold." I sigh and take the water from him and put the glass and all in the sink and go to the fridge and grab him a bottle of water and take it in to him. He takes a sip and again makes a face, "What?" He looks at it, "Too cold." I take a deep breath and set it on the table. "Let it sit for a few minutes it will warm up." He nods and pulls the blanket up to his neck and closes his eyes. I shake my head and walk towards the kids new playroom.

I walk in and see the twins playing with some of their toys and crawling around. Aubrey is reading a book to them following them around and Aiden is playing with his train. "Hey." They all look up at me then go back to what they were doing. "Feel the love." I walk over and sit next to Aiden, "Are you playing with your train?" he nods and smiles up at me, "Play too?" I smile, "I would love to." He hands me a small train and we start to push them over the floor while I make train noises making him laugh.

Aubrey comes over and joins in getting a train and pushing it around too. Adam and Asher crawl over and start to touch the other trains trying to figure out how to push them. I smile and take their little hands and place them on the trains and push slightly. They look up at me and smile. I watch Aubrey get bored and go over to the art stuff. "Want to draw." I stand up and walk over to them, "Okay baby." I get down the paper and crayons and place them on the little table where she goes over and sits down and starts to draw.

I play with Aiden and the twins for a little while and Aubrey draws pictures. "Mommy?" I look up at her from the floor, "Yes baby?" She holds up a picture and smiles, "Us." I sit up and look at the picture, "Is that you?" She smiles and nods and starts to point to the little figures. "You, daddy, Aiden, twins and me." I smile and look at her, "Its beautiful baby." She smiles and I see a little something off to the side, "Aubrey what is that?" She smiles, "Dog." I look at her, "We don't have a dog." She smiles even bigger and looks at me, "We could." I shake my head laughing. She is her father's daughter. I run my finger through her hair and kiss her forehead, "We will see." She smiles and goes back to drawing.

I look over and see Adam asleep on the floor. I smile and look at Aiden yawning. "I think it is nap time guys." I pull my phone out and see it is their nap time. "Aubrey finish this picture, I am going to go put the twins to bed and will be back for you." I hear a small "Okay." I bend down and pick up a sleeping Adam and walk over and pick up Asher who was in mid-crawl. He looks up at me and I smile at him, "Nap time." I walk out of the room and into their room. I put Asher on the ground and place Adam in his bed and kiss him. I walk over and pick up Asher and place him in his bed and kiss him. I turn on the nightlight and pull the door up.

I walk back into the playroom and Aubrey yells, "no." I laugh, "Okay I will take Aiden and be right back for you." She smiles and nods. I pick Aiden up and pop him on my hip as walk out of the room and past a sleeping Austin up the steps. I walk into his room and put him down. He yawns and rolls over and goes to sleep. I smile and kiss him before turning on his nightlight and pulling his door up. I walk back downstairs and hear Austin snoring. I smile and shake my head as I walk past him and into the playroom. "Come on Aubrey." She smiles and hands me the picture as she comes running at me. I pop her on my hip and smile down at the picture in my hand. "This is beautiful baby." She smiles and lays her head on my shoulder with a yawn, "Tired." I nod, "Well lets get you to bed then." I smile and place the picture down and walk out of the room and past a snoring Austin. "Daddy okay?" I nod and keep walking, "Just sick baby." She yawns and nods, "I love you." I smile and kiss her, "I love you too baby." I walk into her room and place her down in her bed and pull her covers over her. She smiles and holds her doll as I turn on her nightlight and I see her close her eyes. I walk out and pull her door up. I walk downstairs and into the playroom to clean everything up.

"Ally?" I put the last car in the box and walk over and turn the lights off and walk down the short hallway and into the living room, "Yes?" He looks at me, "Can I get soup?" I smile and nod, "Yes, just give me a minute." I walk into the kitchen and open the can of chicken noodle and put it in a pan and turn the stove on. I walk to the cabinet and get a bowl and open a drawer and get a spoon. I walk over to the fridge and get the juice out and walk over to the cabinet and get a glass and pour him a glass of juice. I walk the juice back to the fridge. I walk over and turn the stove off and dump his soup in the bowl. I walk the soup in and place it on the table. I walk back into the kitchen and get his juice and walk into the living room and set it next to his soup. I see he fell back asleep, "Austin." He opens his eyes and looks at me, "Soup done?" I nod and grab his hand to help him sit up. He wraps his blanket around him and I move the table closer and I watch as he holds the bowl and eats his soup. I turn on the television and sit next to him as he eats and I watch television.

He places the bowl down and I turn to him, "Better?" He nods and turns so he is laying down with his head in my lap. I smile down at him and pull the other blanket up over him and start to run my fingers through his hair. He moans and turns his head into my stomach, "That feels so good." I smile and keep running my fingers through his hair until he falls asleep in my lap. Not wanting to move him or wake him I sit back and just find something to watch.

I hear my phone go off and look down at a sound asleep Austin in my lap. I move a little and reach into my back pocket and pull my phone out. I whisper answer, "Hello?" I hear schuffling then, "Miss. Dawson, you were suppose to come in for your dress fitting." I sigh and look down at Austin and whisper, "I am so sorry. I totally forgot. When can I reschedule?" She gives me a few dates and I smile, "I will take the two o'clock on the eleventh." I hear typing then, "You are all scheduled, if you want I can call and remind you the day before?" I smile, "That will be great, thank you." I hang up and shake my head, I should of remembered that. Our wedding is in a few months and I guess I spaced with everything. I look down at Austin as he wraps his arms around my waist and buries his head in my stomach. I rub his back and go back to watching television and keep rubbing his back.
