Today is Aiden's birthday. He is running around like a mad man. I feel horrible today but it is his birthday and I will not ruin it. I ruined too much and I won't let it happen again.
I sit down on the couch for a second while I watch Aiden run away from Austin. "NOooooo." I smile at his new favorite word. Aubrey looks up at me and shakes her head, "Why not new baby boy?" I laugh and lean forward and kiss her head, "Because you love him even though he drives you nuts. Plus it don't work that way baby." She sighs and goes back to playing with her princess puzzle. I push myself up and look around.
Everything is set up and ready to go. I just have to go get the cake. Austin was suppose to but Aiden is fighting him on getting dressed. "Austin, I'm going to get the cake." I hear a distant, "No, I will do it. Just sit down." I sigh and turn just in time to see a naked Aiden running past me and a stressed Austin running after him with the clothes in his hands. I smile and shake my head, "It's fine. I got it. Just get him dressed." I grab my keys and wallet and walk out the door. I push my seat back before getting in my car. I fix it so I can reach the pedals but not have my stomach so close to the steering wheel. It doesn't work well but anything is better than nothing. I start the car and have the radio blaring as I back out of the driveway and head to the bakery.
I pull into the bakery and turn off the car before getting out. I walk in and smell the amazing scent inside. I look around to see if I can find the particular scent that smells amazing but shake my head knowing its no use. I walk to the counter and smile at the lady, "I'm here to pick up a birthday cake." She smiles, "Name?" I think to remember if I put it in Austin's or mine. "Ally Dawson or Austin Moon, I'm sorry I can't remember." She nods and smiles before typing into the computer, "It is under Miss. Dawson. And I see it is ready so I will just go get that for you." I watch her walk away and come back a few minutes later with a big box. She places it on the counter and rings me up. I pay and then she hands me the receipt. She looks at my stomach and smiles, "How far along are you?" I smile, "I am seven months now, I will eight soon." She smiles, "Congratulations." I smile and go to get the cake and she places her hand on it, "I got it. Just lead the way." I smile and thank her as I walk out to my car. I open the passenger side door and she places the cake in. I close the door and turn to her smiling, "Thank you so much." She shrugs, "No problem. Take care." She turns and starts walking back into her store. I get in my car and back out before putting the car in gear and getting onto the road.
I am a few minutes away from the house when I hear the guy start talking, "And now back to back two new singles from the hottest new act going around. Alex Northman." I look at the radio and then I hear the piano come through my speakers before the all too familiar voice starts pour his heart out through my speakers.
Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'll be the one if you want me to
Anywhere I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I... I'm feeling so small
It was over my head
I know nothing at all
And I... will stumble and fall
I'm still learning to love
Just starting to crawl
